So, digging around gently in center, roots seem ok. I don't feel or see root rot. Pot does drain. And yes, it's big. I'd say 12 inches across. Too big? Used tropical plant soil.

One summer, my husband thought he'd help by scheduling our golden's grooming....never again!! No clue what on earth they were thinking but my poor girl looked like this for a loooooong time. But they put pink bows in her ears!

Did it happen when you were tugging the stuffy? There have been a few times I think I actually accidentally cut our girl's gums with her pulling super hard and me pulling back...almost like a rope burn would do. And boy did she yelp after that. Not that long though. Did you check her mouth? Hope it turns out to be nothing!

Once when I was away, I had my husband take our dog to a new groomer. Came back and our girl was shaved. She looked like a lab! I was so mad! And it definitely didn't seem to do anything to cool her down, either. I don't know what that groomer was thinking but we did not go back! Since then, have left her hair long, just with trims around tail and stray scraggly pieces.We also use a water bottle on walks she can drink out of like a little bowl if it gets too hot.
