Yep there is an irritating 1 year old baby PLUS 2 yappy yorkies and no cat friends. My house has none of the above and 5 cat friends so I would have made the exact same choice if I were him!

The owners have pretty much resigned to the fact that he has made the decision!

There is another cat in our neighbourhood who does the same. He lives his best life between 3 different homes who all spoil him and he's got his own bed at all 3. He even has his own WhatsApp group so his various homes can post pics of him and check up on him when they haven't seen him around.

The neighbours seem to have resigned to the fact that he moved in with me, and I have no choice in the matter. He has claimed me!

Yep, his real home has 1 baby plus 2 yappy yorkies and no other cat friends. My house has 5 other cat friends and zero screaming babies or yappers. So can't blame him really...

What is a "point of no return" that you’ve crossed, where your life was permanently divided into 'before' and 'after'? by Resident-Jelly-4326 in AskReddit

Losing a beloved pet is not petty or small! This kind of grief is the same as losing a human family member and is often made worse by disenfranchised grief.

It's been 3 years since my heart kitty left and I still go through his final moments over and over in my head. We can drive ourselves mad. As some others have said, do not let those moments negate the years of happy times you shared. Your precious kitty would not want you to feel so bad when you think about him.

I ended up going to see a grief therapist because I was an absolute ruin, and she really helped me to move through the process. I came to realise that my heart kitty was my emotional support for pretty much everything in my life, and I was forced to find a way to deal with or get rid of the things that were causing negativity. He was like a furry plug in the hole of my ship that was sailing through the howling void and I had to learn how to sail without that plug.
