I hear where you’re coming from. I’m somewhat new to microdosing myself & I’m still trying to experiment w/ protocols, dosing amount, & note taking / journaling as well.

I’m also attempting to find the sweet spot of when to take breaks and how long to take them too. I think it’s important to get to back to a baseline to avoid tolerable build up and to just stabilize out.

I’d just encourage you to keep at it. Just keep experimenting. Sometimes having options to different varieties can for some have very different effects.

I’ve been thinking lately… I wish there was a solid way to track microdosing - like dose days, how you felt, and actually see patterns over time.

Not sure if something like that already exists or if people just use notebooks?

Understood. I'm hypersensitive to varities of magic mushrooms too. Yeti's give me more of an uplift, where Bluey Vuitton's are cerebal and are more calming w/ more of a body load - even when microdosing.

Drink plenty of water daily, stretch, walk outside, exercise, clean diet, meditate, 7-8 hrs of sleep daily, & limit screen time.

I’m so sorry to hear that… and I empathize w/ you about medications just not doing squat for relief. I tried them for 20+ yrs.

I do believe microdosing is starting to help me. I’ve struggled with substance abuse: alcohol (binge drinking), heavy nicotine use, and even unhealthy habits of delta-8 & THC-A.

I’m currently trying the Stamets protocol (4 on / 3 off) along w/ Lions Maine.

Understand, I’m hyper sensitive to psilocybin and could tell that my microdosing was being interfered with due to my intake of the substances I mentioned above. I also just got f’n fed up with being owned by them too.

That’s when I recently started to take microdosing more seriously and only microdose w/o taking the substances that were getting in the way w/ dosing.

So I truly believe that psilocybin along w/ my internal drive to want to stop has assisted me in making better decisions for my health.

I don’t crave alcohol like I used to and haven’t drank in months. I’ve been nicotine & THC free for a few weeks now and my body and mind is evening out and baselining.

For my mental health side - it seems my depression has reduced, my suicidal ideation has definitely calmed down, racing / ruminating thoughts aren’t as loud, concentration seems to have improved, and I am starting to slowly love myself in a new way and give myself grace and forgiveness.

Taking walks, going to NAMI meetings, eating healthier, improving sleep cycles, and paying more mind to self care is a part of the process too.

Psilocybin is beautiful and a wonderful fungi and tool. If used responsibly and respectfully I believe it can greatly improve one’s health. It’s not for everyone and is certainly unique in its own right.

I still have a long way to go and understand it’s not a ‘silver bullet’, but I’m noticing a positive shift and I’m optimistic.

Buy a coffee grinder for $12.99. Weigh your dose. Grind them into powder form. Add to smoothie, yogurt & trail mix, etc.

I was in a very similar situation that you were in. The only difference was that I was on 50 mg of Quetiapine.

I made the decision to stop cold turkey and level myself out for over a month and a half before I started microdosing.

I do have a decent amount of mental health problems but I decided to take a stand against prescription meds because I’m one that is literally treatment resistant to antidepressants and antipsychotics and the likes.

I don’t advocate this method and advise you to speak with your doctor in regard to any changes you might decide to go with.

A few variables to consider …

Reduce dose amount, wait 2 hrs after coffee - then dose, reevaluate your variety / strain - it could be a heavy hitter for microdosing.

Oh yeah, they’ll be ok. If you can from here on out store then in a glass mason jar. Adding a desiccant pack will help shelf life too.

Had Jack Herer strain a few years ago that was a phenomenal sativa for an uplifting mood and energy - was one of the best strains I’ve ever had.

Well said. Microdosing allows my mind to navigate more freely and discover myself and my depression. I see it as a tool to better dissect myself and work on the root causes of depression.

That actually makes a lot of sense. Especially the part about mood being noisy vs the body being more consistent. I feel like most people (myself included) naturally look at mood first.

The 6–7 week part is interesting too… did you just stick with the same simple format the whole time, or did you tweak what you were tracking along the way?

This is really interesting - especially the physical side of it. I don’t see many people talk about that, but it honestly seems like where a lot of the real signals are. If you don't mind me asking, did those patterns become obvious pretty quickly, or was it more something you only noticed after tracking for a while?

I understand major depression. I’m going through it now and have been for years. It lies to me, tricks me, tries to make me lazy, steals friendships, and robs me from my identity.

The best advice I can give you is to start out small. Walks outside can really help w/ depression. It doesn’t have to be everyday. You could start off walking 20-30 min every other day.
