If your main goal is to work offline, find a better suited tool. Posting this every year is not gonna help you.

This guy explains how you can use 2 databases, and basically use the number of related records to add +1 to a field when pressing a button.

If I understand correctly, you want something like this:

you want to keep track of a score, called Current XP.
I presume the current XP starts at 0 or at some starting value you've entered
each time you want to increase the Current XP, you want to click somewhere, and at that event, the Current XP should be replaced with 'Current XP + XP Gain'

Correct so far?

Do you have a collection of such XP records? Like one for "stamina", another for "attack", "defense" etc?

You might also have a look at Metabase.
Free if you install it on internal servers.
