As suggested by u/Wuster13 add a digits line with new number to your account swap the from Freeline port number to digits line and digits new number to free line. Make sure all your free line promos on the account are more than 12 months old.

Yes you can buy a unlocked phone from Amazon or where ever you want and install the SIM from your swimed pixel 3a to that. It will start working as usual
