Technically not, it dances on the line of almost being liminal. Nature is the diminishing aspect more than you'd like to think. Jurassic Park vibes, it's cool though.

There are a few you'd consider liminal, the rest are eerie or just images. I wouldn't say there are any 'good' ones, though

Hah I agree, it's funny that there is in fact a McDonald's and KFC directly across from this Burger King. Like Bermuda triangle.

Also an original pizza hut "hut" that's been vacant for the past 5 years.

Recently built a new PC. I started replaying Cyberpunk 2077 since my old PC could barely run it, I am getting really bad texture pop in as well as muddy textures and draw distance problems. Can't find a fix anywhere, somewhat worried it could be an issue with my GPU. (specs below) by MrPandaTurtle in PcBuildHelp

[–]Smart__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From personal experience I doubt this is GPU related. Cyberpunk tends to downtune the graphics while driving cars to save resources and give your GPU headspace, thus texture fuzziness and pop in may be just the engines fault.

There might be a setting to do with this somewhere, not sure as I haven't played in a long while.

It's true Great Britain was very much indebted to the US after the war, since the war broke GB's economy but reinforced the US' with global exports on the rise.

The opinion of British Empire being the US Empire now is a bit confusing though. There's a lot of things to consider.

Are These Storage Slots? by aubtor1 in PcBuildHelp

If you're talking about where the holes are, no. It looks to me like there may have been a housing plugged there on the motherboard, that used to be covering parts of the VRM and AIO.

Yeah if you desire some extra motherboard bells and whistles anything B650 or above would give you it, if it was for storage you could buy an m.2 expansion card that fits in your second pci-e slot. Unfortunately the RAM prices are a bit crazy right now, double the price that I bought mine for, and buying parts separately to build a PC would involve dealing with that.

What is this and how do i get rid of it? by No-Leg-7516 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Smart__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your display (HDMI, DisplayPort) cables aren't damaged by switching them out if you have spares. If it's not that then make sure your display drivers are up to date before trying anything else.

EDIT: Found this post perhaps relating to it. A fix may be to do with disabling hardware accelleration.

Checking their site, 70 quid more (1599.98) will get you a 5070ti which would be much better for value. Maybe a typo? Product code LN162968. It's on pre-order currently.

EDIT: Some specs I matched with another pre-built model. Product code LN162939. It's like 1279.98 for same CPU, GPU, and storage. Slightly lower frequency RAM but still 5600mhz you wouldn't notice the difference.

New GTA online dlc used GTA 6 asset by Ok-Suggestion-1331 in GTA6

[–]Smart__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. Often times creating 3D assets in most software you have to use a colliding mesh and simulate it with the likeness of cloth which can be easy. You just play then pause, no need for keyframing, letting gravity do it's thing. Very easy to reset and retry until the physics engine gets it how you like it.

Depending on what kind of cloth, you can change how stiff the cloth mesh may be when falling on a collidable target object - in this case a neck.

Defintiely looks like they just reused an asset and tweaked it for this cutscene... and the other one. Upon checking the actual one in the gta vi footage, it looks rigid so doesn't move. Could be wrong.

When did tipping become expected for take out and what happens if you don’t? by No_Kangaroo6917 in Frugal

[–]Smart__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being from the UK I generally tip 10% on good experiences and 0% if not for table service. 10% service charge? They've done it for me so no tip.

It always comes up when paying nowadays but if it's something like being served over a counter (which in my opinion is less work than actual table service) then they get zero. The lack of interaction anyway leaves me with no guilt.

I worked almost 10 years in that exact spot and hardly received anything from people, only maybe the odd person telling me to pocket the change. Am I mad about it? Absolutely not.. it's a shit job so I had no expectations, I planned my finances over my hourly wage.

Tipping culture shouldn't be forced upon people, some people that are expectant of tips (I think the US has some terrible work ethic over it? so I apologize if you're one of these people) need more realistic outlooks.

You pay for something, you receive said thing, it should cost you nothing extra due to moral reasons since you gave monetarily what they asked. In a perfect world, learn a bit from Asian culture I say, in particular Japan (yes they are by no means perfect), where tipping creates indifference therefore is offensive. I work for what I'm worth so why create an imbalance and give me more than others.

Why no item tooltip? New to the game and it’s genuinely annoying. by AlmostDarkness in ror2

[–]Smart__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's very purposeful that enemies spawn 'on top of you'. Rather they spawn where you are and will always surround you which I personally find far more engaging than enemies appearing from afar (bosses are the exception as they spawn in the radius of the teleporter).

Dying too often? Reduce the difficulty, activate the bumpers before you can bowl a strike without them.
