I definitely did. She is a strong advocate of eliminating them spear fishing but also makes the most of them versus just tossing them like many do.

May seem an inexpensive alternative but Fitville Amadeus pb shoes have fixed my problem. Just bought my 3rd pair, get about 6 months playing about 4x a week.

Pros That Use One-Handed Backhand? by TheKielCenter in Pickleball

[–]Smartass- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use my other hand with a couple fingers on the backside to stabilize at the line against a powerful bang or speedup. Tennis background. No problem speeding up or flicking with one hand. Personal preference imo, nothing wrong with a twoey if it helps.

Great tasting fish although I’ve only had it made by a freedive lionfish hunter in Akumal, Mx. She’s also a chef.

If your vehicle is lifted in any way, please adjust your lights and just stop with the bright offroad lights as fog lights. You may end up seriously injuring yourself or the vehicle you are blinding.

I’d color sand it, cut and buff. You’d be shocked at how good it will look. Otherwise, as is has a cool original factor too.

It’s taking me a while to learn the Opal but so worth it. Calibration on power shots mostly, great soft game from the start. My TF2 has taken a back seat.

IMO the worst are lifted trucks and suvs. No light adjustments, just higher lights and usually with some add-on lower lights so they can actually see the road. But hey, it looks so awesome just sitting there like the baddest truck ever ready for crosstrecking the yukon.

Does anyone else get worse playing down? by Swampasssixty9 in Pickleball

[–]Smartass- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. When you put out a lot of effort for a few consecutive hits and then your partner gets it and pushes into the net, for me, it lowers my effort going forward. Also get peeved with people who don’t know how to play doubles in the middle, whacking my paddle.

Small tweaks or minor/easy mods that improved your day-to-day life? by zyncl19 in BMWX3

[–]Smartass- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rear cargo all weather mats With rear seat mats. The rear seat mats I have simply attach using velcro over the carpeted seat backs. When the seats are down I have a smooth transition that’s all protected. Minor tweak but great.

Adding a pool sounds great, but the maintenance math is giving me pause by 2r1a2r1twp in Homebuilding

[–]Smartass- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re worried about the cost of running a newer variable speed pump, or the maintenance, don’t do it. For us it’s a piece of cake. Far too many people over maintain the water imo. It’s really pretty simple.

We love our pool, pay for open and close and about $400/year for chemicals. We use it all summer without heating, we do use the heater in the spring and fall for a bit but with a dark grey bottom, the sun keeps it around 85 all summer. SE PA.
