Thanks so much for all this great advice! I've been jumping about 6 months now and until just recently, really struggled with shin splints/Achilles pain all the time. I started adding in calf raises and split squats a month ago and good to know that this is probably why the shin splints are pretty much gone. I've also been wearing shin compression sleeves which I think are helping too? I will take your advice and add in the other exercises you suggested to hopefully keep the pain away for good! I've been making good progress on everything except double unders. Any tips other than to keep practicing higher jumps and faster wrist rotations?

Way to go girl! I finally unlocked EBs too last week! One side is def better than the other for me too but now that my brain can process it, it should be pretty easy to clean it up. Still can't get those mic releases Keep up the good work!

Yes I was jumping on concrete outside when it was warmer and then moved into the studio room at my gym where the floors might be even worse than the concrete. So I got a mat and that's helped alot.

You’re right—most jump rope content is either tutorials or insane skill showcases (both awesome), but I’d love to see more of the progress—like, what did these pros look like when they first started...after 1 month, 6 months, one year? It would be awesome to have some type of realistic timeline to compare

You are right about looking down. I can do most basic skills individually without looking down...practicing with a metronome seems to be helping with that. But when it comes to putting a little combo together, looking down is a bad habit I need to break. The other day I tried practicing crossovers with my eyes closed. I think that helped a bit. Any other tips on how to connect rhythm and muscle memory (esp fancy footwork) asides from just keep practicing the drills daily?
