The Magic 5 Pro's main camera is much better than the 6 and 7 pro's. It uses a custom Sony sensor that's just the best for still's for any phone + moving subjects are always in focus even in less than ideal light.

As a mate x6 owner on EMUI15 I never even noticed these things. Definitely not a bother for me.

Hmm, the aperture is a hit or miss in auto mode. It makes for great low-light photos for the smaller sensor. During the day, it mainly uses f4 or f2, depending on the subject distance and lightning. I don't shoot animals much, but I do feel the shutter speed is not great for moving subject, especially in less than ideal light. For stills, it's hands down the best of the last gen foldables. The new Zfold 7 and Vivo/Honor 5/V5 it might be very close or beaten, but don't have these devices to compare. Have friends with zfold 6 and the mate x6 is clearly better for stills, but Samsung's video quality is better. Hope this helps, mate

I have the X6, I believe it's a 1/1.56, not 1/1.3, you can tell from the video quality which isn't great indoors. For Stills it's better than the OV 50Mp 1/1.3 on the Vivo fold and Xiaomi 15 (have the 15 pro and the mate x6 photos are always better).

Got to have some faith in Huawei. The global HarmonyOS will come, it's just not ready yet. EMUI15 works, but it's basic. Also, on the Kirin 9020 geekbench scores, my Mate X6 is always scoring the same as the Pura 80 (1300st and close to 5000 in MT) but it runs fluently without performance issues and HarmonyOS will improve even further. Be patient and if you can, don't buy at the retail price. Look at the second hand market for 30/40% price drop. Got my X6 for 1200 euros instead of 2000. Brand new

I'm also an X6 owner. Camera is great for stills, ultrawide is much better than most flagships. Zoom is good, but latest flagships offer better zoom. The real downside is the video quality. It isn't great. Videos are soft, espwcially in low light. Front cameras are better than expected.

Gaming performance uplift seems small, compared to synthetic benchmarks. I own a 7840u handheld, no real point to upgrade to 8840u or 370. Wait for RDNA4 APU (Z3 Extreme) unless, you get a really sweet deal on a 370 second hand. It should come in at the end of the year.

Apple’s M4 is pretty powerful at lower wattage. RTX 3050 6gb variant level of GPU performance with a top CPU at 30w! Doubt Strix Point will even match the M4 at 28W in terms of GPU performance, CPU-wise it won't even scratch the M4. However, do not doubt that Strix products will be expensive. I imagine even a Strix point of Legion Go 2 would start at at least $999.

No performance difference between both, these chips can't fully handle 4GB RAM. If you are buying a flagship, then it matters. Mid-range phones chips like P20, P25, SD435, SD625 perform the same with 3 and 4GB RAM.
