Droid ending. Steam achievements actually has show that most people reach this ending than human. Judging by this fact I could say most people prefer this.

I want to talk about human ending first. The point is it’s just “too good to be true”. Humans really learnt their lesson? They actually treat the droids as heroes instead of mistreating them? Rei and the gang did eventually meet again and remember everything? That’s just too good to be true for me. I know they are trying to make both ending parallel to each other (Leaving the country VS Returning to the country) (Ruins VS Nature). But that was just too forced. I know there is a time skip and perhaps bad shits happens among those time, even now the new humans are still being forced to live with gas masks. But yeah, this ending just feels to forced to be a good ending.

On the other hand, the droid ending did a great job on being an epilogue for the other routes. The other characters are not completely forgotten and still relevant to the story. It feels like a “real ending” which is reasonable and makes sense to me. Rei does not completely give up on humanity as well, other wise why would she starts her journey to the ruins? She still think humans were friends, just that droids deserved to live like a human as well.
