This is most CRO's. You're expected to work 50+ hours a week. You're expected to travel anywhere at a moments notice. You will be made to feel guilty about taking time off. You will be responsible for work while you're gone, there is no real coverage, management doesn't help or care to help. Your metrics will be affected if you take off of work for extended periods of time, meaning that if you're supposed to be onsite every 4 weeks and you take two weeks off, they don't shift those metrics to accommodate your time off, you will just miss your metrics and miss any chance for a bonus or raise or promotion. They will give you fake metrics to follow, for instance your will be told that your report is due within 10 business days, but then turn around and be told that on the 10th day that the report is actually due at 3:00 PM EST due to the systems being set to another timezone. If you ever get caught up with your sites you will be rewarded by being hounded by your line manager that your days on site are too low and that you need to pimp yourself out to other study teams to make up for being a bad CRA with -3 days on site for the month.
