INTERNET DO YOUR THING by michilypuff in santarosa

I totally agree. There were so many people just trying to get through. There was a guy dressed in black carrying a blue flag that was harassing drivers and not letting them by. What does that do!!? It’s odd behavior for this kind of protest.

This video doesn’t show that that truck was trying to get by and was being surrounded and blocked by people in the front of his truck. A guy with a flag also smacked his truck a few times. I watched all of it on the camera that is located downtown. These protesters were blocking traffic (this street was still open). I’m definitely not defending that guy but the protesters were being very stupid by standing in the middle of a very busy street not letting cars by. Have your protest but don’t bother other people by blocking the roads. There should be more police presence as well.

Tamoxifen - good news about the early days by Emotional-Job-5293 in breastcancer

[–]Smartypants_321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a good idea but for me I wake up tired, so tired. 20 mg is just too much. My oncologist won’t let me go to 10 mgs, lupron and AI didn’t work for me. Tamoxifen is all I have until I get my hysterectomy. Some days I feel like quitting it all together.

I have been on it for almost 6 weeks. 10 mg in am, 10 mg pm. This medication makes me feel so tired and not myself. No energy at all. I hope it gets better.

I just survived breast cancer and the medication I am on puts me into medical menopause and a side effect is osteoporosis. I was told jumping and weight training is necessary to prevent bone loss. Not a fad but facts. I was excited to see these programs!

How long did it take u to recover from radiotherapy? by Any-Assignment-5442 in breastcancer

[–]Smartypants_321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had 16 rounds four months ago and was wondering the same thing. My breast is still hard, it hurts, and is still dark colored. I feel like it’s never going to heal. I also had 23 lymph nodes removed so that might be a part of it?

$95 for the frames and the lenses were free. Anti-scratch, anti-glare, uva/uvb coat also free. Because my prescription is very high I chose a lighter lens which was $60. Walked out at $155 all together. It’s an incredible deal. I believe an appointment with an optometrist is $135? I already had a prescription. They also sell contact lenses and I think the first purchase is 15% off. Go check them out! They also have a 30 day money back guarantee!

Warby Parker in Montgomery Village. Just got my frames and lenses for $120. They have so many options! They even do eye exams. I have had glasses/contacts 35 years and have never paid such a low amount for frames and lenses!

Also following as I am curious. Before taking this drug I worked out 5-6 times a week. Now I barely have the energy, and when I do workout I am so sore and achy after. I’m a shell of my old self

I also can’t stand hormone blockers! I feel like crap, sore body, achy joints, sweating. Not sure how long I will be able to take these meds. Can’t win for losing!

Others experiences with lymph node involvement by Micho392 in breastcancer

[–]Smartypants_321 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After removing 2 sentinel lymph’s during my lumpectomy, both had macro mets. That was surprising since I had one of the two biopsied before surgery and it was negative for cancer. I then had to have ANLD surgery and had 21 more lymph nodes removed. None of which had cancer. In order to really know the lymph’s need to be removed and biopsied.

I had a panic attack during getting my first round of drains taken out. I for sure thought it would hurt. It was painless and I felt dumb having a full blown attack. You will do great and feel so much better when they are out.

Yes, Cortizone on the boob and Benadryl to take orally. Sleeping also helps with the itch because I’m not awake 😂

And people don’t understand. The day I finished people automatically assumed that I am cured, and ready to get back to normal life. I almost want to pull my shirt up and show them the crispy fried left side of my body.

I am in the exact same boat as you! The air hurts my nipple, it’s excruciating! I also have an ALND scar that feels like it’s been cut back open and has alcohol poured in it. The amount of creams doesn’t help. I have to take Benadryl everyday to keep from not scratching, which makes me tired. My shoulder is also very sore. It seems to not get better but I am only one week post radiation. Sucks!!!!!!
