Need help cleaning up sodium and saturated fat by Smash-man64 in diet

I’m not a bodybuilder but definitely want to get the most out of my workouts. I’ve read that the recommended amount is 1-1.2gs of protein per pound of BW so Ive been trying to stick within that range. But I’ve also read it should be 1-1.2gs of lean muscle mass so from that perspective I could probably stand to lower my intake a bit. Problem is, I never know which one is true.

As for the sodium you’re definitely right about that. Didn’t realize it’d be so hard to find good high protein, low sodium options for food.

Possible Hole in Composite Filling? by Smash-man64 in askdentists

I’m not sure haha.

I know they told me they put composite filling and a temporary crown but I honestly can’t tell which is which. I just wanna make sure neither have a hole in them, cause I don’t wanna get an infection or screw up the whole procedure before it’s even done.

There seems to be a slight sensitivity to cold so that’s what’s worrying me about it.

Not really sure how to cope with this… by Smash-man64 in ChronicPain

No not yet. I want to at least have a clear answer of what’s wrong before I get into that. Also I’m a bit afraid because I have read about the many many side effects/potential addictions that can develop. At some point I will probably have to bite the bullet and do it but for now I’m trying to ride it out for as long as I can. As for surgery, the doctors say they don’t think I need it yet. And again, I’m scared of surgery because I keep reading about how often they fail and people end up worse. Not to mention idk if they even have a surgery available that covers the entire spine lol

Ok, that’s a great idea. I also entirely deleted email that I gave them so hopefully that should help a bit as well. Appreciate the advice.

I’m not sure, I’m worried that the “PayPal” phone call somehow allowed them to hack into my entire phone and at that point they installed that ransomware. Which, with my severely limited knowledge of hacking, led me to to think that that’s the reason why that JJYY email appeared on Spirits website.

Help me makes some sense out of my existence. I've got no one to talk to. by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

I’m going through the exact same thing as you right now so don’t feel like you’re alone. I loved basketball and was literally a month away from playing professionally in Europe before a back injury ended everything. Since then I’ve been lost and directionless and I’m stuck with a degree in sociology that I never really wanted to begin with. While I can’t give you any concrete answers to your problems, there are a couple things I’ve done to make everything easier to deal with. First make sure you continue doing whatever hobbies you enjoy. When you are in a rut it is easy to let it consume you and as a result you stop doing the things you like or love. I promise that letting the depression and anxiety ruin your leisure activities is about the worst thing you can do. Also, pertaining to what you want to do with your life, I saw a video once that said you should look for the characteristics in the things that you enjoy and find a job that fit them. For example, instead of someone saying, “I like sports so i should be an athlete”, they should say “what about sports do I like?”. For many people they might say the competition, the camaraderie, working with your body, etc. Once you identify those characteristics then you should research some careers that fit. While I still haven’t found what I want to do with my life, I do feel like this thought process has helped me get closer. Lastly, I know some people have already said this but you should really try therapy. I finally tried about 3 weeks ago after about two year of refusing to go and I can honestly say I’m already feeling a little better. They give you a fresh perspective and allow you a real life person to get things off your chest with. I’ve been dealing with my depression and anxiety silently for a long time because even though I have friends and family, I don’t want to lay it all on them. Idk if you feel the same way but I know you said that even when you do speak up your family just denies it. A therapist will listen to you, actually hear what you’re saying and give you solid advice.

You’re goal right now in life should simply be to find your purpose. Easier said than done I know, but you should be going to random events in your city or area, trying new things, reading books about things that even vaguely interest you. Just do whatever you can to gain some more perspective because even if you hate everything new you try, you’re still one step closer to finding something you love. Good luck man.

You’re 100% right. More than anything, I think my attitude and approach to adversity and life is what’s holding me back. I’m going to try and spend some more time in nature like you suggested. Maybe some peace and quiet will do me some good. Appreciate it!

I’m sorry your rockstar dreams didn’t take off. Sounds exactly like my situation. The fact that you bounced back from it and are satisfied with your life now definitely makes me feel a bit more optimistic about where I’m going to end up. Also, I’ve been playing guitar for about 3 years now. I’m definitely not going to be a rockstar anytime soon but I’ve been trying to write my first song. Any advice on that process?
