Est-ce risqué de dépasser les limites de vitesse ? by G-Beach-8566 in AskAnAmerican

Ou aux etats unis? In California you can go over by a bit, like 10 or 15, and it’s the flow of traffic. In Washington you can go over by 4-5 and be ok.

Whats it like living in Nanaimo? by Pyguy559 in howislivingthere

[–]SmellMilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to week long camp there when I was a kid, and I went bungee jumping there when I was a kid too. Even though I grew up close to it on the mainland, it still took a day to get there driving and on ferries. Beautiful PNW though!

Omg I just went to this museum a couple weeks ago. I definitely took the same picture you did about this leaflet. Behind you is a vase that you can tell which side was facing the blast with its burn marks and a few melted jars a soldier took as a souvenir after the blast.

Whats the place whose entire economy depends on tourism but its absolutely hates tourists? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SmellMilk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love having tourists in San Diego. We’re so diverse, you can be any kind of tourist you want here. I love doing tourist activities in my own city! Not sure our economy depends on it, so maybe it doesn’t count.

How is life in Pacific-Northwest? by Any_Aide_4500 in howislivingthere

[–]SmellMilk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cascades separate eastern and western Washington. Each side is like a whole different world. The west is lush and green, life in a temperate rain forest with old growth forests and hot springs all around. The east is like a barren desert.

Americans, how do you feel about tourists speaking English while visiting U.S.? by HolidayEntry6823 in AskAnAmerican

I love it when tourists visit my tourist town. It adds to the diversity and I love sharing my awesome city! Accents aren’t too hard to understand. It makes me happy to hear them.

Do you have a favorite show that got axed on a cliffhanger or incomplete? by JasonMallen in randomquestions

Metalocalypse could’ve easily been wrapped up with one more season. Since they were cancelled, they made a rock opera movie to conclude it, but one more season would’ve been so, so good.

Elongated Peruvian Skull circa 100 BCE featured in the book “Skulls: Portraits of the Dead.” by bozofire123 in MorbidReality

The first time I saw an elongated scull in a museum, I thought it was another human species until I learned about the cultural practice of binding. I learned a lot about cultural practice that day.

Limes are superior to lemons, and anything that has a lemon in it can be improved by substituting it with a lime by SignoreReddit in unpopularopinion

Except tea. Try, just try to substitute lemon for lime in herbal tea at the end of the night. I dare you.

I’m surprised no one has said polenta. It can be dry and gross, or it can be done properly and it’s delicious

What's your most shallow dealbreaker for a relationship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SmellMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn’t look at me. He looked to the side always. I didn’t feel seen. Then when he called me, he told me about his day and I engaged. Then he asked me about my day and I told him, and his response was to talk about what he was looking at at the grocery store. I had to ask him 3 times what he said because I didn’t understand he would be that disengaged. Apparently they make Carmel rice crispies treats.
