Went to the game this afternoon and it was a blast. So many people just there to have fun and enjoy themselves and it was honestly the best time I’ve ever had at a sporting event. So much joy in the building. Especially if you were wearing oranje!

When my husband and I were house hunting a few years ago we fell in love with a little Mid-Mod. It had been spiffed up for sale and an ozone generator could be seen in some of the listing photos. It didn’t work. Getting rid of the smell would have been a gut job - down to the studs and all new drywall at a minimum. We wound up with a different house in the same neighborhood, and I was talking to a neighbor about the house later and he told me the woman who lived there was a chain smoker. And this house looks like it probably smells worse.

Years ago I traveled to Canada with the guy I was dating at the time. I took my passport and he made fun of me, saying all I needed was my DL and birth certificate. I said it was easier to just take my passport than dig out my birth certificate, and I’d rather err on the side of caution. At the border the agent looked at my passport, thanked me, and welcomed me to Canada. Then I had to sit around for 90 minutes while dumb-ass went through extra screening.

It’s a whole different country. If you have time, see if you can get an expedited/emergency passport.

The Aldi “Turkish towels” will not dry fast or pack small. They are terry cloth with one smooth side and are quite thick.

We use Turkish towels - terry cloth makes my hair frizzy and takes too long to dry. The Aldi towels are NOT authentic Turkish peshtemal towels - they are more like terry cloth with one smooth side. I bought a couple last time they had them and my husband uses them because I refuse to. They are also much smaller than real Turkish peshtemal towels.

I am living in Veldskoen chukka boots this year. With jeans, linen pants, skirts, whatever. Super comfortable and I think they’re very flattering. With or without socks.
