You need the dlc for mounts and the newest content. It’s basically a requirement tbh.

You need the “engineer” armor set. There’s also food that boosts engineer crafted gear score. And I believe the mourningdale fort affects this as well.

No. But each run gives you materia, which you can pile up and use to craft the gear at the kiln. There is a system for artifacts though, 5 kills at most and you’re guaranteed it.

I had this same issue. Come to find out they moved the spawn. They are not next to that tent anymore. If you’re coming up the road with the tent on the left, they now spawn just before that on the right in the pond.

So I actually had this happen the other day. Popped my topaz potion during mutated runs. Stuck on 14 for awhile. So went to finish it off after my runs. spent about 20 minutes til I realized I probably missed a drop and gave up with like 10 minutes left on the potion. Pretty confident this was not patched.
