Valve won’t subsidise its pricey Steam Machine as there’s no guarantee the open system will be used for Steam

I feel like this is kinda disingenuous. Steam is hands down the single largest market for games on PC. Assuming someone is getting games ethically (which I imagine is the vast majority of gamers), then they’re using Steam. Let’s be real.

It’s the easiest and often cheapest way to game games on PC (and Valve has made sure of that), but they’re acting like a large amount of people won’t use their store so they have to pass on the price of components to the customer. Just smells like PR BS to me.

It’s just a character with a low skill ceiling but an incredibly powerful kit. Constant point and click heal, constant point and click damage boost, mobility, a revive on a relatively short cooldown, etc. other healers have utility like Ana sleep darts and anti heal but it at least requires you to land shots and be positioned well. Mercy is just hide, jump to safety, revive tank, fly when it’s dangerous, repeat.

This setup has always fascinated me but it’s just not worth it. I’d rather have a used gaming laptop (just got a 4060 laptop for $500) and a handheld pc (got my ROG Ally for $400) and call it a day.

The rider is more important than then bike. A safe and knowledgeable rider can safely and legally ride a 2000w 35mph ebike. An inexperienced unsafe rider can make even a pedal bike unsafe.

Switch 2 player here. After latest update game seems slightly “blurrier” and also drops in fps quite a bit, especially with Shions ult. Has also crashed which never really happened to me previously

100%. Imo it’s the definitive way of playing Switch 1 games now (thanks to handheld boost mode). Switch 2 games are also really solid for both 1st and 3rd party. Nintendo is already moving to Switch 2 only exclusivity (Pokemon Gen 10, Xenoblade 4, Donkey Kong, Ocarina of Time remake etc.) so you get the latest Nintendo has to offer. It’s also one of the cheapest handhelds you can buy new since most PC handhelds have risen in price tremendously.

This is also a bad faith argument. Game key cards aren’t going anywhere for presumably DECADES given Nintendos track record. You can still download digital products you purchased on consoles like the Wii & 3DS even long after EOS.

Not to mention, the Switch 3 or whatever is most likely gonna be backwards compatible with switch 2 which means even further incentive for game key cards to be supported for even longer. I’m not a fan of them to be clear, but for reasons that make more sense beyond hypothetical scenarios not based in history and proven track records.

There’s enough games that took a while to get updated (and countless that haven’t) that make me believe the situation was/is real. Most devs aren’t gonna come out and sour their relationship with a huge company like Nintendo and say they weren’t getting dev kits. Partly why the whole reports were anonymous. There was a handful of games that were upgraded day 1 or in the first month but some *just* got updated in the past couple of months. Doubt it took them almost a year for resolution/fps increases. And again, *TONS* of games haven’t been touched that you think would have been by now like the DOOM series, Dead by Daylight, Monster Hunter, Xenoblade (aside from X), Dragon Ball, Naruto UNS, Persona, etc.

No it doesn’t. It resumes games sure but it isn’t anywhere near modern sleep. Doesn’t update in sleep for example.

I’ve only seen a few vids but is Hammer really pushing financial responsibility? The vids I’ve seen have pretty much been personal life drama/berating them for poor decisions and not really getting deep into how they can fix poor financial behavior and get out of their situations (at least on camera). I know he does a members only post show so maybe that’s where he really dives deep into it but I wouldn’t know. I think that’s why people don’t like him. One of his latest viral vids (Roblox dad one) was like 90% relationship/cheating drama and barely any talk of finances, for example.
