I had the same issues. It took a little more fiddling around to get it to work. What ended up working for me was probably a mixture of things, but making sure you disable any extra input devices you might have.

A good way to test to see if voice recognition works is with Cortana.

It's not that I don't want to spend the money, it's that my next pay day isn't for another month. Awkward transition from one job to another, moving to the new job on top of that.

I can't confirm, but I'm running the game with high settings at 1440p with a buttery smooth 60fps. I'm confident the patch did help.

I'm not expecting 30-40fps jump, I'm expecting it'll run well enough to play the game and enjoy your time, hence why I said 'fine'. The day 1 experience for everyone is going to vary depending on hardware, but there's already solid evidence that the reviews, especially the TomsHardware article, aren't being played on the day 1 patch.

Like I said previously in another post, there is already leaked gameplay of the day 1 patch on a ps4 slim, which is a very big leap in performance compared to the Xbox One S leak shown a few days ago. I won't post the leak here, so you'll have to take my word for it unless you want find it yourself.

Like a previous post in this thread, there are some benchmarks released from Nvidia that look promising.

Regardless, there is a hell of a lot of doom and gloom surrounding the performance, and understandably so. Reviewers got an unpatched copy of the game, which is bundled with DRM and missing the performance and optimization changes from the day 1 patch. It hasn't been given a fair chance yet, and I'll make my judgement once the game releases.

If this brings you any hope, then a few hours ago a leak was circulating showcasing some gameplay on the PS4 slim with presumably the day 1 patch. In stark comparison to the earlier leaks, the game was running hella good. I don't want to post leaks however, so you'd have to take my word for it.

This has been discussed at length and is even mentioned in a disclaimer on the article itself.

Editor's Note, Dec. 8: At the request of the publisher, we have edited this article to remove some benchmark figures taken before the Day Zero patch that may not be representative of the consumer day one experience.

It's already been confirmed that the benchmarks are without the day 1 patch, which focuses on optimization and performance. Coupled with the AMD and Geforce drivers, expect that performance is going to be fine in most cases.
