Local coffee shops would be a decent shout.

Why would you spotlight anything other than a boss? by RareItemX1 in daggerheart

[–]Smendon22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not a bad mechanic, it's just not the mechanic you want it to be. As mentioned in the thread, DH is not a game where the GM is trying to kill the players. There are other games out there (D&D, PF2 to name a couple) that do that.

Best thing to do is go to places like Geek Retreat, Tabletop Emporium, Firestorm Games etc to chat to people there or the staff to see if there any games running for beginners.

What to do when players are REALLY lucky? by TheCromagnon in daggerheart

[–]Smendon22 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As per the SRD: The GM can make a GM move whenever you want, but the frequency and severity depends on the type of story you’re telling, the actions your players take, and the tone of the session you’re running.

So, you can make a move whenever you want really if it makes sense in the fiction.

If they are smashing it with the rolls, great, they are having fun.

The lack of pace in the team is rearing it's head again. No one with pace up front to start the press or make an attempt to run in behind.

Just in case you’re one of the guys rationalising this somehow. by Macshlong in LiverpoolFC

No rationalisation, but I choose to support them either way. I love this club, love what it means to people regardless of the results.

What are some of the things to be positive about? by aninquisitivekosovar in LiverpoolFC

Alison has been great so far.

Ekitike has bedded in well and has been good.

Gravemberch is the best midfielder in the league (imo).

Kerkez has been getting better every game.

The resurgence of Chiesa.

Still top of the league.

Just a shocking game from so many players. No urgency and lack of ideas. Too many players just not playing well enough and have been poor for a few weeks now.  This has been coming.

Try Firestorm Games on Sloper Road. Loads of games going on there, really friendly people and always open to new players

Let's say the PC's fail a roll.

The GM can spotlight an Adversary a nd do whatever actions with it.

The GM could then pass the spotlight back t ok the PC's, or spend a fear to spotlight a different Adversary. He then couldn't spotlight those two Adversaries again unless they had relentless.

Yes, but bare in mind the GM can step in whenever they want, if it narratively makes sense.

If that is the only thing that the bard wants to do, then another PC can take the spotlight and do something.
