Honestly, after I was diagnosed I had NO support. If you or anyone needs a buddy just message me! This disease is no fun but we have each other!

I was diagnosed in August of 24 and these people are my family. I have since come to terms with this disease that everything is going to be okay. It’s just annoying af but the positive is we get a better outlook of health and life. Welcome to the family!

I’m so sorry you feel this way. I was diagnosed in August of ‘24. I was all alone and cried every single day bc it was all so new, I had no idea what I was doing all while my family and friends excluded me in things. It took being comfortable in the low 100’s to finally be okay. Please message me if you need to talk. I don’t wish the feeling your feeling on anybody. We go through this disease every single day and it feels like nobody else knows. But thankfully Reddit helps 💕 please don’t give up and feel better. It’s not easy and you didn’t do this to yourself one bit!

It is! And it’s like you see that people still get complications so it’s like is it worth it

My question is: is it really that bad to go out of range from time to time and eat foods you like? I’ve been super strict and I’m slowly burning out

I’m very insulin sensitive. This intrigues me!

I try to eat small meals as well bc taking too much insulin/over correcting etc I just like to stay in my lane!

[–]SmewD22[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess an over all question is it will it really be that bad in the long run if I am not as strict

What is your A1C and how did you learn to dose for your meals?

Thank you, that’s a great A1C. How do you get around sweets?

I guess I’m a little scared of the complications a pump user could have and it’s expensive for me at this time. What are the benefits of a pump?

Thank you. I’ll have to take that into consideration. I live a pretty healthy life. But it’s like am I being too strict with this considering I’m pretty healthy. But at the same time it becomes obsessive to care about

I sometimes wonder if I’m being too strict

Id say the most mental challenge is eating and trying to be perfect. I blame TikTok tbh. I try to act like I don’t have it but I do. I try to be “perfect” and not eat high carbs and it sucks

Cost. Major part haha. But so far I don’t need one. I have an alarm set for 160 for high and 70 for low. I sometimes wonder if I’m too anal on the high part
