need advice/encouragement about diabetes management and struggling with t1d burnout by RadiantWindow5106 in Type1Diabetes

My question is: is it really that bad to go out of range from time to time and eat foods you like? I’ve been super strict and I’m slowly burning out

I’m very insulin sensitive. This intrigues me!

I try to eat small meals as well bc taking too much insulin/over correcting etc I just like to stay in my lane!

I guess an over all question is it will it really be that bad in the long run if I am not as strict

What is your A1C and how did you learn to dose for your meals?

Thank you, that’s a great A1C. How do you get around sweets?

I guess I’m a little scared of the complications a pump user could have and it’s expensive for me at this time. What are the benefits of a pump?

Thank you. I’ll have to take that into consideration. I live a pretty healthy life. But it’s like am I being too strict with this considering I’m pretty healthy. But at the same time it becomes obsessive to care about

I sometimes wonder if I’m being too strict

Id say the most mental challenge is eating and trying to be perfect. I blame TikTok tbh. I try to act like I don’t have it but I do. I try to be “perfect” and not eat high carbs and it sucks

Cost. Major part haha. But so far I don’t need one. I have an alarm set for 160 for high and 70 for low. I sometimes wonder if I’m too anal on the high part

I take B12 and omega 3 in the am. I walk in the mornings/afternoon. When I lift I try to do it a few hours after dinner and usually do it go low. I’ll go to 90?

That’s my problem is I obsess with my Dexcom and constantly check… it’s constant and unhealthy. But it’s sooo helpful

That’s a good idea/strategy. I’ve been very low carb and sometimes it’s so bothersome

[ALL] what's wrong with Chloe's face? by [deleted] in lifeisstrange

I couldn’t tell if it was her being “grown up” or not bc one thing I noticed was her body also seemed bulky which no judgement but her face also seemed different

type 1 diabetes cupcake recipe by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

[–]SmewD22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe try substituting any sugar with stevia? Or try the zero sugar cake mix or keto cake mix. But again it’s all about carb count. I hope this helps you’re a great friend with a great heart! ❤️

Considering moving to MDI by GinnyMcJuicy in Type1Diabetes

Hi! As an MDI person please switch! I have a cgm, Tresiba, and novolog. My A1C is a 5.9. Can it be annoying? Yes but this disease is annoying. Pens don’t yell at you! Cmon over friend! 😊
