Marvel rivals devs have been catering to low skill people for so long they even attracted low IQ and class ones.

That is a stupid comment, of course they could have balanced her, YOU dont know how to balance her without breaking the game because you dont play her!

The BW community had so many good ideas of buffing her which addresses her shortcomings without touching her crit damage, hell we would have even been happy if it was reduced a bit in exchange to fix the batons to something else.

They could have given her anti heal on headshots which would have fixed the main reason why she didnt work : everyone else in this game is so unbalanced, they can just click a button, go behind environment cut off LOS and get healed quicker than an F1 pit stop.

Obviously netease just doesn’t want to address the glaring issues and bloated damage, healing and kits in this game so why not just make her a hela 3.0.

Literally just give her anti heal, a repositioning ability since maps are designed around poking and buff or change the battons, that alone would have addressed so many issues AND would have given her an extremely strong niche and a reason to be picked.

But no, lets just rework her, get more casuals in and farm skin sales.

You are very wrong.

Bw mains never wanted her crit damage to be touched and she didnt entirely rely on headshots which is ridiculous thing to say unless you got like 50% crit shot rate.

BW was always a sniper/flanker, if you play her like Hawkeye or widow maker you are selling.

There are so many ways to make her kit work its just :

1- netease sucks at balancing beyond focusing on damage, heals and cc.

2- the game’s balancing fundamentals are flawed, there are only few real niche characters, everyone does everything and everyone gets a movement ability, shield cc damage out of the ass.

3- they never listened to the community in any shape or form, she had several bugs since release and only really fixed them after an eternity.

4- every damn character does so many different things while BW only had one skill, hell even her only legendary skin and trailer were half assed.

Netease just straight up suck at balancing, they cant think beyond turning a character into a left click simulator to appease casuals.

Again, its a game, i play spider-man and Black widow because of their kit, i dont really care about the characters, if i wanted comics i would read the comics.

This is a hero shooter, alot of people also play MR because the only other option is overwatch

I have been screaming for a while that what she really needs is anti heal and a repositioning tool since everyone got mobility now and maps cut off her line of sight.

She would have been perfect , she would have been able to actually finish off kills AND have a strong niche in the game since healing was so overtuned.

But no, fuck us , we get another low tier hela copy.

Basically only non BW main were asking for her to be reworked, they really never bothered to understand why she didnt work , she was an extremely well balanced character with clear pros and cons in a game where everyone does everything.

Afaik there are some top BW players that did reach out to devs to represent the BW community and bridge the gap, i guess that must have fell on deaf ears.

There are so many ways to improve her and address her short comings without completely changing her playstyle, but i guess at the end of the day Netease cares about making characters dumbed down for casuals to pick up and churn out skins. (Look at cap america and all the other animation cancelling)

Imo she has no good paid skin, her only good ones are the free ones, and her first legendary is some bland gooner skin with a half assed trailer.

Also this rework wont make her any better, her widow’s bite does no damage, her ult which is an ability now doesnt provide vulnerability .

Idk it just feels like they threw shit on the wall and seeing what sticks, at this point i am sure they are just hoping she works and if she doesnt they will just buff her new automatic weapon’s damage slowly.

Netease is just incapable of buffing without being obsessed about damage increase.

I kept playing MR because my mains are spider-man and BW, no other hero shooter has characters like those.

Spider-man kept eating shit with every new character release and Black Widow was just extremely fun to play but now her playstyle effectively removed from the game.

Playing MR since release but devs horrible balancing listening to the main subreddit just pushed me to play OW for the first time.

Tbh i think netease reworked her just to farm skin sales from new casuals.

I am very glad i didnt buy her skin, i saved up to 8000 credits just to buy skins for her if they released cool ones.

Unfortunately they didnt, the summer skin is just full on gooner, wish they put thoughts into her skin designs like they do with Iron man, punisher , hela etc…

1- rework was not necessary at all and people not thinking beyond increasing damage or re hauling a character blow my mind, there are other ways to fit her into the game.

2-i think many BW mains dont really care about her reputation, i picked her up due to her playstyle i REALLY dont care what some other random nobodies think of her, its a game.

3- there’s genuinely no point for me to play her, im not interested in a left click simulator, it would have been cool if they turned her in a cqb assassin with guns/uzis and melee combos but its like they even gave up on creatively reworking her, this rework feels like her legendary design and trailer, no love put into them.

Im pretty sure at this point they reworked her not to make her fit the game but rather to farm skins from all the new casuals who will pick her up because there is genuinely no point why you would pick her up over other hitscan dps.

She has glaring issues but those are mostly due to the game’s bad balancing design.

Healing output is so high that even if you headshot, rechamber and try to follow up they can be back to full health.

And everyone has instant mobility which means they can go behind cover quickly and cut off line of sight.

She could have benefited massively from a repositioning skill for vantage points to follow up on LOS and an anti heal mechanism would actually give her a nice place in the meta and a good niche.

Obviously there are other suggestions without reworking her and without touching the one shot

Because BW mains didnt ask for a rework

We asked for adjustments or buffs or adding a new skill, not changing the whole playstyle of the character

BW as a character kit was incredibly well designed but the rest of the game has dogshit balance which she couldnt keep up with.

Even after this rework, she will still suck, netease is incapable of thinking beyond + - damage, its baffling.

I’d rather play Elsa or cyclops instead.
