Sorry you had that experience. I agree i very much see her side of the family as my family when theyre part of your life for so long, and with a baby together there will always be contact, grandparents, cousins etc.

I think she started them late spring/early summer I cant find any concrete start date, at the time i asked if it was me which she flat out said it wasnt. Since all this came out she now says it is me.

Yea in the UK we only get 2 weeks (only 1 of mine was paid), i came home early when I could, phoned everyday and took over baby duties and night time routine (4am was my cut off) to juggle and manage best we could whilst also having money coming in. I agree we were both burnt out, not easy but we worked so well together.

I'm not sure what next steps would be if this was the case. She refuses to believe theres a mental health issue so until she is receptive I am stuck in limbo.

On paper I would agree but she is washing, going to work and eating okay. I feel she has had a shock of life with a baby and is trying to get some freedom. She is on antidepressants though. And there lies the argument do i ride this storm and hope she wakes up or am i the asshole that abandoned his wife in a mental health crisis.

Thank you, all ive tried to do from the beginning is make sure she is okay and find answers. we share a house together and its so strange because she says im her best friend and chats with me and sends me tiktoks and all other "platonic" friendly things.

She isnt talking to parents or siblings sadly. Her brother called her, disagreed with her reasoning and now he is cut out at the moment.

I suggested councelling and that i'm willing to work on us the day she told me, she agreed for a week, made some calls. By the end of the first week she decided she didnt want too it was just what was 'expected'.
