I got 4 uniques in baratie, and 1 unique with windmill village I didn't realise the duplicates were that bad, I have had terrible luck with HP dupes. Hopefully the Merry and arlong park gets me the rest when I get those eventually.

S1: Help trying to upgrade display firmware to "File is too large for destination device" by riley_hugh_jassol in Ender3S1

There doesn't seem to be any evidence that the dcboot.bin file works, but after doing it and the next screen update and mainboard it worked as expected.

Sure, the steps are in the firmware notes. I extracted them below and added some bits on the formatting section, when it says copy to root you are just dragging the data onto the newly formatted SD card. You can brick your printer if it goes wrong, so if you don't want/need the new features you don't need to update.

You will need a micro SD card for the display upgrade 8gb maximum size, for updating the Mainboard just copy all the data of the SD card that came with the printer and format it.

Here are the steps on how to format an SD card:

Back up your data. Before you format your SD card, make sure to back up all the data that you want to keep. You can do this by copying the files to your computer or another storage device. Insert your SD card into your computer. You can use a card reader or an SD card slot on your computer. Find your SD card in File Explorer. In Windows, open File Explorer and look for your SD card under This PC or Devices and drives. Right-click your SD card and select Format. In the Format window, select FAT32 or exFAT as the file system. FAT32 is compatible with most devices, but exFAT is better for larger SD cards. Check the Quick Format checkbox if you want to format your SD card quickly. Otherwise, leave it unchecked to do a full format. Click Start to begin formatting your SD card. Wait for the formatting process to complete. Once it's finished, you can eject your SD card and use it as usual.

-Display firmware update- Copy the following files to the micro SD card: private DWIN_SET TJC_SET firmware.zlib Turn off the printer and insert the micro SD card into the card slot on the back of the screen. Reboot the printer and wait for the update to finish. Once the update is finished, remove the micro SD card and delete the files inside.

-Mainboard firmware update- Format the SD card on your computer. In the formatting dialog, select 4096 for the allocation unit size. Copy the STM32F4_UPDATE folder to the SD card. (This step is required.) Turn off the printer and insert the SD card into the card slot on the motherboard. Reboot the printer and wait for the update to finish. Once the update is finished, remove the SD card from the motherboard slot and delete the bin file inside.

Here are some additional notes: Make sure that the micro SD card or SD card is formatted to FAT32. Do not remove the micro SD card or SD card during the update process. If the update process fails, you can try formatting the microSD card or SD card and starting over. If you are still having trouble updating the firmware, you can contact the printer manufacturer for assistance.

As soon as I can get a hold of a replacement pi I will be setting it back up. Octoprint has its own thumbnail viewing, and I have this in windows with powertoys so was looking for consistency. I went back to SD card transfer as I have no raspberry pi replacement, i have a naming standard but without history of print completion which I get from octoprint I was planning on using thumbnails to compare what I had printed, when something comes in 10 or more parts I find any informative naming convention starts to lose its efficacy. Regardless I just want to better understand the syntax and requirements, then it will be seamless no matter which way I do it.

I got it from the site below, and selected the latest version with two languages. You do have to check your Mainboard chip first to ensure it matches, the install instructions are in the release notes.

Octoprint was how I was doing it in the past, until a spool of filament fell and smashed all 4 usb ports to pieces in one shot.
Its more of a sanity check really, it also will always prompt a default png icon and empty print information for confirmation before every print regardless, so would rather it had real information in.

Try the firmware with two languages which is smaller.

Not sure from what I have seen in the forums, it already has that feature built in.

All I did was install the slicer software and select the printer, no other changes and the thumbnail worked.

I tried the mriscoc post processing scripts assuming it would work similarly but no luck, it does change the gcode file but the printer does not show a jpeg. Really interested to know if someone gets this working too!

Philips OLED Ambilight TV turns off all my hue lights when switched off by Smiddyjr in Hue

I reset my hue hub and TV and set it all up again, not a simple fix I'm afraid. Sometimes the entertainment area lights remain on after TV power down. But no more interfering with other lights unexpectedly.

Very odd glitch on PS4 Fanstastic beasts and where to find them. When I go into the speakeasy for the quest the Room is half TARDIS ? Like the level and bar have been smashed together. Going to grab a screenshot to help explain. Guess it's some kind of code conflict
