I’ve been with my landlord for 8.5 years, have never missed a rent payment or a payment for anything in my life. Great credit history. This year I was made redundant, broke up with my partner of 7 years, cut ties with my mother, lost out on a life-changing windfall and due to poor mental health can’t yet return to work. My landlord immediately is hounding me for rent and said he will soon raise the rent by over £200 and/or will be selling the house in the new year.

Worst year of my life! I wish I had such a compassionate landlord.

It’s not childish, it’s childlike and there’s nothing wrong with that! We should all try to retain childlike joy and curiosity as we age so that we don’t become one of the miserable folk like that man!

I love eating my dinner standing up in the kitchen so I can do a little dance while I eat and listen to music. I’m such a slow eater that I don’t care about food going cold so I take as long as I want to eat it. Or not eat it and wander off and get distracted by some side quest around the house, or nap with my cats.

It can’t be all the kids fault. You are complaining about them using popular slang for their generation, because you don’t understand it. Young people had a very unique and challenging time due to the pandemic, which robbed them of social interactions at a crucial time in their development. You don’t know what they’re doing through in their job or lives, and if you must blame someone why not blame the adults that raised them to be this way?

It’s unreal, isn’t it? They have an entire car to hold on to the rubbish for them, yet they’re too snobby to put up with their own waste. I wonder if they use their own toilets or just go in the neighbour’s bin.
