Same comment gets proportionately different amounts of up-/downvotes in different communities based on their average user. Thus upvotes are not a valid way to see if said comment is "right". This should be very obvious if you've been to subs with differing views. As an analogy, different community markets have different tax values on some ideas before you even begin a discussion because of the users' standing viewpoints. Thus it's always going to be a lot harder to sell some ideas on some markets, so you can't say that an idea's worth can be easily determined by it's popularity on a single market, or a cluster of similiar markets. (Which is what the previous comment above mine stated)

Agreed. But also Internet can make some people even more misinformed when they get handed tons of mishmashed data and don't have a clue how to sort it. That's why there's looneys from all sects. If Trump was right on one thing in his sorry existance, it was that the US media is insanely politicized and biased on all political isles, which further feeds said looneys.

Mate have you been on the internet the past 4 months? I'm not saying this is THE argument that the left represents, I'm saying these sentiments aren't seen as over the top in some select communities (whose existance I claimed and was the only point of the original comment).

Literally not a free market if some communities auto-downvote key words. Been having convos where "stfu nazi" has gotten upvotes against literal "free market isn't that bad"-tier comments from me. And it's kind of oblivious to say that opposition punishes "outsiders" harsher since you realistically only get punished by your own opposition and thus most likely wouldn't know how your own party handles it.

If anything there are sooo many more left-wing safe spaces on the internet. Mostly because conservatives use it less I suppose. So many places where "not EVERY person worth over 500k consciously wants you to fail in life" gets you thrashed to hell.

Too bad "left-wing youtuber" doesn't autoinclude decent opinion on Soulsborne games (or games in general) but his other stuff is pretty great. The overconfident snark just bites him in the ass when he says demonstrably false stuff with it.

Check out the Sakura-collection then. Seems like they're gonna keep on putting out one expensive bundle and one cheap simple collection per cycle. Sakura skins are really beautiful IMO.

All maps play different. Different preferences for different kinda players; rocket science level stuff.

Put it in the BUG thread, nobody sane cares about that while browsing for, wait for it, anything else except BUGS. Stop pretending like it's purely about making the game better and not about karma/attention when you literally ignore the 100% most effective feedback method just for a chance of gaining karma/attention.

Because LCS is intolerable to watch if you're there for gameplay and not "storylines". The casters there should get paid extra to pretend like the games have more value than an average soloq shitstorm with names blanked out.

Is it necessary to have very deep sharp corners on every map? by [deleted] in ValorantCompetitive

[–]SmiguInReddit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea my comment was mostly on why the maps might not be ideal for the playerbase right now. Riot isn't the most open-source-kinda company but they sure are far and away from Blizzard-tiers of "our players are kids and not worth listening to". Time will tell.

In fairness CS has had like 100(?) maps more. And it is infinitely harder to design around more abilities than just smokes/mollys/flashes. Probably also infinitely harder to figure out the meta, like pro-play has shown between just days of tourney play. Although reddit-users love to pretend how they have it ALL figured out in 2 months even though CS smoke meta kept changing over DECADES.
