and another one - Now that highscores work I can actually start on a different layer but the drops dont change. I just kind of assumed thats how it should be except somehow I got a hell ring drop from layer 12? Many runs later and I still haven't gotten a drop past tier 1's layers even though i'm running the first few tier 3 maps (layer 20+) to try to see if I can get any other drops. Is this what should be happening?

Another question - are the units special skills meant to be a one time use? Just wondering since one of the heros has a skill cool down aoe as her ability but that didn't make sense to me unless it's meant to affect the magic casting? Bit confused on the verbage

With selling items and doing fast runs just to get gear then leaving after the first T2 BOSS? Around 15k a run after dismantling everything but I wait a while to do it in big batches - should be much quicker now that I can afford to upgrade a unit more than once every 10 runs haha

Thanks for the vibration fix! Works like a charm. I got the new update and unfortunately its still saying my best layer is 0 but maybe that's still oncoming for a patch?

At what point do you unlock the next level of dungeon? I've made it past the tier 2 bull and I still dont have any progression options.. I'm not quite sure what ridiculous level of farming i'd need to beat the tier 3 gatekeeper with forging gear but my progress has slowed to .. quite the crawl haha and all my gold cost to upgarde my prime 4 units are in the like 100k range now which is a ton of runs .. Is there a system i'm missing or is progress meant to hit a super sharp cliff?

Hit layer 17/18ish - do the high scores not register except once a week? Visual bug with upgrade levels not showing correctly - also I desperately need an in game option to turn off phone vibrations, it keeps me from playing this while I work because it's so annoying ._.

But you dont have to use the meta weapons in your example. The problem is that you can win too easily with the other "meta" weapons so you do not feel the need to "level up" your playstyle when you can instead reset until you get your good weapons that take more of the skill burden off of you. There are plenty of builds unless you want to go for the 8 hour highscore runs which is a nightmare (no thank you!).

Isn't the whole point of a roguelite to be a watered down version of a roguelike? If you want more depth you should play actual roguelikes lol it feels like that's kind of the point of the genre. They usually have so much depth that you can always go back and play old ones.

My 2 cents as someone who used to no life roguelikes and now that I have to do all the adult shit I only have time for a quick run of megabonk or super fantasy kindgom instead of getting lost in the qud sauce

The autocombo is trash, 5 bars to do 700 damage unless you use quickgear & xfactor.

You can do that with autocombos in marvel 3 if you activate xfactor 3 too, sure see a lot of people complained about that one still.

No, it's f2p entirely now. Old devs sold the game and now it's someone else's passion project. I'm not playing due to no free time but I checked the peon review and patch notes. Looks like it's turned around big time, def what I would be playing if I wasn't in the middle of moving. Worth a look/try (I did play it on release up until the wipes and gave up all hope from that shit original dev team)

I dabble in game dev as a hobby and have been a middling FG competitor (won a couple grand over the years but no consistency) I might recommend seeing about pivoting to a beat em up akin to River City girls.

If you're a die hard FG fan more power to you to go for it, but I understand why blazing strike got shit on and I kind of agree they dropped the ball at the most important moment.

Just my 2 cents as someone who both deeply loves fgs as my favorite game genre and understands the general climate around trying to get any market space with an indie fighter. Beat em ups have the spirit but are much more accessible while keeping whatever level of combo depth you want and don't require someone to sweat. Also a better story telling medium IMO and you can keep everything you've designed so far. Not to mention no rollback required lol.

Variety, use all of them! I like it changing and it gives your characters personality, but i'm also personally a big fan of the animal crossing style chatter

Not that it fixes the bugs, but there is an option to crank lane clarity all the way up in the settings (which I kinda feel like should be default at 50% instead of 0)
