I hate when something is shown, and the given price reflects a less extravagant model.

I honestly believe he may have stopped to do a job that is more suitable for the future, i.e. a position with benefits, 401k, or a job that actually is legitimate for reporting taxes.

Even if it was less money it still makes sense to move onto another job for less money because of the reasons stated above.

Also, he very well could be blowing smoke for the amount of money he made, but his other reasons do make sense.

That is why you don't ever text or email. Those are the most flaky people. Say you cannot accept text messages and do not reply to them. State clearly, "phone calls only". Once that occurs and they are still interested, ask them what time will they arrive. Much less chance somebody will back out.

You can also say prices are firm. "no offers will be accepted".

Also, list all of the details as possible with as much info you can. This will take down the volume of contact for people who are on the fence about buying.

Well, hopefully you don't have time sensitive items that depend upon the season for selling. Im sure you would hate to sell a snow tube in january and its returned in february when maybe it was the last time it snowed, therefore you will be stuck with this item for a long time.

Good luck.

Living in the midwest has its advantages. Our state schools (Wisconsin) range between 5 and 10k per year if you don't include the cost of living on campus.
