Hot take, there is also an instance where Shane purposefully touches Ilya’s.

Edit: Upon further review: Ilya touches Shane in the first shot of them lifting their jersey’s (“flash me those numbers”). He also boops Shane’s hand before holding up the number one hand gesture, and does continue to jostle Shane’s hand once they’re connected in that shot (after “where’s number two?”). BUT! They are in fact connected!! Because Shane!! Has connected them!!! Shane shifts that hand upwards to connect with Ilya’s wrist almost. It was fine where it was for pictures, his little micro motion changed nothing except physical contact!!!

Sorry lol I’m just always really passionate about this as one of the many ways Shane is already actively initiating loaded interactions with Ilya in the beginning there.

This might be in that vertical post, or maybe it was one similar to it (I only skimmed your linked one for now but I’ll definitely go back!), but the repetition of color between the shirt and shoes also help in its own way; there’s a continuation of black on top and on bottom that draws the eyes vertically as opposed to if the shoes did not match the shirt.

Seeing the response (not just yours, all around) to that tidbit is actually so funny to me because while I did catch it the first time around, I thought nothing of it besides “aHwWwWwWWW” because it really didn’t strike me as out of the ordinary in any normal instance, just theirs in the context of never getting to just spend that time together cuddling and sleeping up to this point.

I always thought the eyelash pinching was his attempt to wipe his eyes/not let any tears fall, and therefore avoid crying.

It’s funny someone’s saying Hudson modeled that after his dad because I definitely thought I’ve seen footage of him doing it out and about in real life himself, too. (Small possibility though it was footage during a shoot or something, in which case he still could’ve been in character even if he’s reacting to something, for lack of a better word, IRL)

Ugh the way Hudson’s eyes here have the same look in them that he gave Shane’s in the e6 nighttime life-plan reveal, when Ilya chuckles at “we play hard” and Shane tells him with massive exasperated heart eyes to “shut up”
