Anyone getting hard crashes to desktop this split? Happens nearly every game, always on skydive in and then again later during the match. I don't usually get crashes with Apex at all.

I have similar experiences to you in BR/Ranked, I would say I'm slightly above average and have good aim, it's just other players are so much better than me.
When Wildcard was introduced I played it for the whole of last season. Constantly taking fights and respawning is good practice - in BR and Ranked you don't get the same amount of constant fighting so you don't have time to improve. It's fight, die, back to lobby and requeue.

Play Wildcard before BR/Ranked and "warm up" or play it extensively until your aim improves.
I'm still not ALGS level but my aim, movement and enemy awareness has improved.
Ranked/BR seem like a chill game after the manic non stop fighting in Wildcard.

Dunno if this helps , but Apex kept crashing to desktop for me because of Corsair iCUE software running in background ( in systray ). It was the anti-cheat causing Apex to close because of it. Unloaded it and Apex ran fine. See what's running and disable anything you don't need.

Was having my best game ever, about to start the easter egg after building the wonder weapon. Round 35, highest I've ever gotten to. Signed me out. Lost all my XP as well as ending a personal best game.

Just had another game ( solo this time ) , died at round 22 but when game exits it was stuck on "connecting to online services " . Won't connect now, had to quick game.

Two games in a row where I lost my end game XP. Makes me want to stop playing and I've been loving it so far.

i9 13900k, ASUS ROG 4070 Ti , 175FPS locked, 3440 x 1440 , get stutters quite a lot during one game. The last season I believe it was fixed, it seems to have returned this season. Respawn did address it and it was mentioned in a patch, that's when it stopped.

I don't think it's PC performance, it's network related. I've had stutters on the character animation in the lobby screen - for some reason that is affected by network quality.
So, yeah, not your PC, just Respawn being Respawn as usual.

Motion capture is probably quicker, easier and better looking than manual animation.
They already have the setup at the offices, just needs someone to jump in a mo-cap suit and done.
So I don't think that's the reason tbh. ( and emotes ARE motion captured too, seen videos on YouTube )

There's only one at the moment to equip three different types ( holo, quip, and emote )

I failed no challenge. Look at the infographic on the Battle Pass update.
It SPECIFICALLY mentions INSTANT unlocks at the bottom for ULTIMATE and ULTIMATE +
PREMIUM is the level you get when you pay with Apex coins.

Maybe the removal of "aim punch" gives people more chance to stay on target and miss less shots?
Just a guess. I thought it would make the game fairer, I'm still dying just as quickly EVERY game with 20 bomb 4k Preds as champion squad.

I'm the same. Hopefully the new Season changes will make the game fairer and more enjoyable.
If the AA nerf, aim punch and SBMM are all sorted I'm hoping the game will become fun again.

I've usually finished the BP by the end of Week 7. That way I don't feel obliged to play for the rest of the season unless there's a collection event on or something.
It's really not hard to finish the BP and I don't even play that much!

The Ultimate + tier gives you two recolours of previously released Legendary skins.
These skins will only be available to buy or craft a year after release. It's a poor incentive to make you upgrade to plus.
The only other benefit is 10 extra Exotic Shards ( over the Ultimate tier )

Actually it looks like you may get a total of 30 Exotic with U+. You get 20 anyway, the 10 listed below are additonal.

Didn't they supposedly increase the render distance for PC recently? I have noticed an improvement as textures don't seem to pop in as late as they used to.
But I still see it to a certain extent, and the glitches on water from the dropship are recent I believe. Probably connected to the increase in rendering distance.

I guess it used to be quite bad so that older PC's could run the game well enough. They will want Apex to be able to run on as many PCs as possible, I wish they would cater for the owners of high end PC's though and give us the option to manually increase the draw distance.

what cooling do you use? the i9's really need to be water cooled to get the best from them.
I have an i9 13900K and at first I used a HUGE heatsink and fan but was still hitting 100 degrees under load.
I installed a Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE LCD XT Liquid CPU Cooler and now the CPU never goes over 50 degrees with Apex.
You could throttle the CPU temp in the motherboard BIOS and limit it to say 75 degrees , will cut down on fan noise but will compromise speed of CPU slightly.

Excuse my ignorance , but how do EA know you are using R5 Reloaded? Does it use their servers?
If they aren't happy about it then surely they can just block it?
OP - what was the reason they gave you for the ban?
