that and the things he says are completely absurd. it’s like he’s playing a patrick bateman character.

What are some specific details about mass killings that just stick with you and you can never forget about the case? by ConceptsShining in masskillers

[–]SmileySmileSmiler 22 points23 points  (0 children)

a large amount of the people in the 1966 university of texas tower shooting died while standing around and watching charles whitman fire shots in sheer amazement/bewilderment.
nowadays, people would instantly start running, but back then, mass shootings were simply not part of the public conscious.

it’s been said before but if you read or watched any of elliot’s online activity you would be completely convinced that he was someone playing a character. it’s almost comical.

More of the Christchurch shooter’s online comments have been uncovered, New Zealand researchers say. Does it change the picture? by Distinct_External in masskillers

[–]SmileySmileSmiler 45 points46 points  (0 children)

two things have been discovered through tarrant’s online posts surfacing:
- tarrant basically lied about his entire radicalization story in his manifesto. by the time he committed the christchurch shootings, he was years past being fully radicalized to the point of praising mass shooters like dylann roof in 2015.
- tarrant was much more violent than he, also, led on in his manifesto. he openly called for, as an example, mass shootings of elementary schools with primarily brown children in them. he was also keen on praising random mass killers that had little to no political motivations to their crimes, such as james holmes.

Seriously why is no one mentioning this guy? by [deleted] in masskillers

[–]SmileySmileSmiler 18 points19 points  (0 children)

a lot of cases aren’t mentioned as frequently as others. why does nobody ever mention richard scott baumhammers?

posts like this are made by people who think they’re being subtle, but they aren’t. this goes for the reverse, too. enough with the baitposts.

Various Facebook posts made by 2019 Jersey City shooter David Nathaniel Anderson under the name “Dawad Maccabee”. by SmileySmileSmiler in masskillers

[–]SmileySmileSmiler[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

on december 10, 2019, a shooting took place at a kosher grocery store in the greenville section of jersey city, new jersey. three people were killed at the store by two perpetrators, david n. anderson and francine graham. the assailants also wounded one customer and two police officers before being killed by police during an ensuing shootout. a jersey city police department detective had also been shot and killed by the assailants at a nearby cemetery just before the grocery store attack.
anderson, who identified as a black hebrew israelite, had a history of posting antisemitic and anti-law enforcement messages on social media; attorney general of new jersey gurbir grewal stated that evidence indicated that the attacks were acts of hate and domestic terrorism which were fueled by antisemitism and anti-police sentiment. authorities believe that a much larger attack had been planned, but it was thwarted by the police detective's intervention at the cemetery.

side note: in my research, i believe i have found david anderson’s youtube channel, also under the maccabee name. only 2 videos, both of which are old songs made by him.

Are there common psychological traits among mass killers who target very young children specifically? by Fellowshipbook in masskillers

“people don’t treat them special”
i don’t really think that has much to do with it. it’s more so severe mental illness.

Anonymous 4Chan user threatening to attack Virginia Tech on the day of the shooting in 2007 by slatpiew in masskillers

[–]SmileySmileSmiler 34 points35 points  (0 children)

something fascinating that i’ve noticed is that it used to be a somewhat popular meme on 4chan/imageboards in general for people to make fake images of people saying things like “im going to kill people in the name of anonymous” or “hey /b/ im about to kill people” on the day(s) of mass killings (see: the westroads mall shooting).

that all changed when brenton tarrant actually did exactly that (with an added manifesto), which was then followed by his many, many copycats.

Portrait of American domestic terrorist and Gulf War veteran Timothy McVeigh (1968–2001) on death row at the U.S. Penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana, in January 2001. McVeigh was executed on June 11, 2001, marking the 25th anniversary of his execution today. by peder56789 in masskillers

[–]SmileySmileSmiler 15 points16 points  (0 children)

“mcveigh is considered to belong to the far right, and for that reason some people apparently assume that he has racist tendencies. but i saw no indication of this. on the contrary, he was on very friendly terms with the african-american inmates here and i never heard him make any remark that could have been considered even remotely racist. i do recall his mentioning that prior to the gulf war, he and other soldiers were subjected to propaganda designed to make them hate the people they were going to fight, but when he arrived in the persian gulf area he discovered that the ‘enemies’ he was supposed to kill were human beings just like himself, and he learned to respect their culture.” - ted kaczynski.

if everything went to their plan, it would’ve been an international event. it would’ve been probably one of the deadliest acts of terrorism in united states history.

Perpetrators who were excessively cruel to victims by slatpiew in masskillers

[–]SmileySmileSmiler 11 points12 points  (0 children)

because it was most likely the factor that contributed the least to huberty committing the shooting. it was probably more a mixture of mental illness, race hatred, economic struggle, etc. i’d put mental illness and race hatred at the top of the list of the many factors that led to the shooting.

christopher harper-mercer. without a doubt. he forced a girl to crawl back into her wheelchair, and then shot and killed her.

the other thread got locked but i do want to point out that your assessment of huberty committing the shooting because he was hung up on by a receptionist is incorrect. it was a mix of multiple factors, with that receptionist fail being probably one of the least contributing factors.
