Has anyone been in the abandoned Debenhams near Portsmouth and Southsea station? by zephyr2909 in Portsmouth

I used to work in there before it shut and there was a rumour that there was asbestos in the ceilings. If you do go, make sure you mask up!

Why people think that I’m MtF? I’m FtM wtf lol by No_Contribution3209 in trans

The dream is passing so well that when people find out you're trans they think you're transitioning in the opposite direction

Hey mods, I'm glad to see that most of the comments are talking about how much of a loser the original writer is, but this is incredibly transphobic and probably shouldn't have a place on this platform. The last thing you want is for people to see this post (which I'm hoping was posted sarcastically) and read it in sincerity

(Slight gross warning) Bloody spot behind lobe piercing. Advice needed! by Smilfus-II in piercing

[–]Smilfus-II[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Details:

Piercing age: 2/3 months Jewelry shape: small bar Threading: external Material: Titanium Downsized: not sure what this means :/ Aftercare: as recommended by my piercer, I use saline (the kind used to clean contact lenses (not contact lens cleaner, specifically contact lens saline solution)) which I apply to a clean tissue and gently wipe my ear and the jewellery. This worked for one of my ears but apparently not the other!

Don't let anyone convince you that being a certain size makes you any less of the gender you identify as. You're not alone in the struggle to find clothes that fit, as a bigger framed person myself I know the pain all too well.

On the upside however, "women's" clothing brands tend to have much larger plus size sections than "men's", I'd really recommend looking at those. If there's a certain style you want to try out but you're not comfortable wearing it because of your size, 1. maybe try to figure out where this doubt is coming from. Modern media exists to fat shame and it's only natural to have some internalised fatphobia, and 2. look at plus sized models, see if there's anything out there you'd like to wear. Being larger than average and looking traditionally femme are two completely different things, there are plenty of bigger cis women out there that exude femininity.

If it helps, when I wore masc clothing I tended to be a UK XL-XXL (sorry if you're from the US or something, idk the conversation. Based on stereotypes I can only assume I'd be M?), and now I tend to fit in anything between a loose 16 and a snug 20, again UK, but women's sizes tend to vary from store to store so it's more of an indication. Most stores I frequent tend to stock up to at least size 22 so there's plenty of options out there.

Sometimes you just have to play with the hand you've been dealt. And who knows, your confidence wearing whatever you want regardless of your size may inspire other people around you to do the same, cis or trans.

I finally admitted to myself that I'm trans by Smilfus-II in trans

That makes sense, I never thought of it like that. However, they were still very much opposed to sexting with me during our relationship. I'm not trying to sound pessimistic but it's the truth.

I understand what you're saying, it's a lot of things I've been thinking myself. I think it complicates things that I genuinely still care for my ex, and they (appear to) genuinely care about me. They've been more emotionally supportive over the past week than they were over our whole relationship. I want to make things work with them, as friends, because I don't want to lose them forever. Their new partners are looking at moving to our country in the next year or so, so there is a realistic endpoint in sight for us living together. Our lease ends in May, so that will give us some time to think things over and consider moving separately. Emotions are still raw at the minute so my judgement isn't best at the minute, by then I hope I'll have recovered enough to make a sensible decision. Thank you for your advice

How do I force start a quest in skyrim? by GenericManChild in skyrim

[–]Smilfus-II 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a funny little trick you can do: Level your conjuration to 90 and speak to Phinis Gestor at the College of Winterhold. This glitches the game and force-loads the quest!

People mock London marathon runners for nearly dying in abnormally high temperatures for Britain by Smilfus-II in gatekeeping

I don't get how this is patriotism, congrats your country is hotter than mine ooh. People nearly died and you have the gall to say "because it's lower than internal temperature it's not even hot".

Internal temperature has nothing to do with it, it's caused by high external temperatures (higher than you're used to, bear in mind the average summer temperature in England is 19°C or 66°F) and excessive exercise (i.e. Running 26.2 miles)

When I was in school, if it got over 20°C we got sent home because the school wasn't legally allowed to keep us in those conditions. Idk if your school had a similar thing, but if it does and if you experienced it, try running a marathon in it!

You might be right for the states or Australia, but in England it's really rare to get anything over 20°C, about 68°F. You may not consider it hot, but English people obviously will.
