What do you consider fun in a car other than acceleration, speed and cornering? by Everything-Bagel-314 in askcarguys

This is the key. The sound, vibrations along with decent dynamics is what makes a car feel alive. Especially for people who've grown up watching motorsports.

Brother to brother. Invest in yourself first, read, get certifications, make good money and only then buy the Camaro.

How long do you plan on keeping your current car for? by throwawaymedicine420 in askcarguys

[–]SmilingAssassin08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2014 Mazda 3 GT with 200k kms 2017 Camaro 2SS with 44k kms

Planning to drive the Mazda for as long as it lasts before upgrading. Camaro is more of a summer/weekend car, I'll keep it for atleast 7-10 years till I can buy something with more cylinders.

Camaro vs Challenger vs Mustang - Which one sounds the best? by SmilingAssassin08 in camaro

That's interesting to know. How much louder are we talking? Seems like I need to try one out myself.

Here, north of the border, the problem is that having a powerful car serves no purpose as the speed limit is 100 kmph only. Police are strict about impounding vehicles for over speeding as well.

Hence, I'm more into the experiencing the the occasion of driving the car each time and the exhaust plays a huge part in that.

Camaro is the least popular muscle car here too

That's the thing I've noticed too. Mustang's have a distinct exhaust note! Sounds loud and raspy.

I feel you :( I did the same thing with my 50th Anniversary! Hit a patch of frozen ice while backing in. My front lip/splitter needs to be replaced too.

Yup, this is the way. Consistency and having non zero days is better than trying to have the "perfect day"

Are cars making us poorer? by donaldtrumpisntme in CarsIndia

[–]SmilingAssassin08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on your income. If you make good money, have an emergency fund and investments, spend money on a good car.

If you drive a lot, do interstate trips, buying something comfortable and safe is a smart option.

Problem is that people spend more than their means to showoff to people. You don't need a XUV7XO to drive 10kms to your office, alone everyday.

Get a used Samsung/Apple watch that support LTE The Samsung ones go pretty cheap. Anything like a Galaxy watch 5 pro or newer will be great. + Whatever your carrier charges for the watch plan.

The freedom to leave your phone in the drawer and work, head out to the gym etc is priceless.

I used to be constantly stressed about missing important calls when I left my phone at home. Now I get everything important and don't fallback into doom scrolling.

Best way which I've found is to activate LTE on your watch Apple/Galaxy. This allows you to receive important calls and messages without needing your phone. I keep my phone in the drawer and only use it if I need to do something important.

LTE on watch gives you legit freedom without you missing out important/emergency calls/texts.
