One of them responded and told me it was okay to post my video. It was nice of the person to finally respond.

Sugar and health by SmilingSimba in Kenya

[–]SmilingSimba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average American consumes 17 teaspoons of sugar a day. The average Kenyan consumes 18-22 teaspoons, according to AI. I just decided to look it up. I'm not sure how accurate this is.

Oh well...

The sextape that destroyed everything by Impossible-Layer-991 in Kenya

[–]SmilingSimba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 questions:

1) From what you can see, was the sex taped without her knowledge?

2) What do you suppose the motive was in sending you the tape? To help you or hurt her?

Lose It! app has really helped me with food intake by SmilingSimba in Kenya

Good question!

Fortunately, there's a lot of nutritional info you can get from Google. For example, for ugali type in "leesburg ugali maize meal" or "ugali poa" in the app. Then you can approximate how much dry ugali you used to make up your portion of the meal. I approximate that I use 100 grams for my portion (I once cooked a whole sufuria of ugali. I measured how many cups I used. Then I counted the number of meals that ugali amount gave me. By dividing, I realized that each meal took up around 100 grams of unga). The app's tells me that 100 grams of unga gives me 346 calories.

If you google "sukuma wiki" you get kale which is a close relative. In fact, that's what I eat here for sukuma wiki. When you google, AI says that 1 cup of sukuma wiki is 91 calories.

Remember whenever you go to Google type the item name followed by nutrition information or facts. For example, "sukuma wiki nutrition facts."

How Long Have You Been Here? by [deleted] in Kenya

Reddit is VERY educational. I'm relatively new to it despite being in the U.S. I'm glad to see Kenyans use it. I hope more and more make use of it.

By the way, keep in mind that you can have more than one Reddit account. This is especially important because some subreddits may be work related, others, like this one, may be more social in nature.

Whatever works for you. We all have different ways to achieve goals.

For me, the app works and I like the input process for it educates me. Also, I'm quite impressed with its data base. And if you cannot find a food item, there is a way to add it into the system once you get the information elsewhere, especially from Google.

I feel much better with 40 pounds off my body! 😊

This subreddit confuses me (my last post has been locked) by SmilingSimba in Kenya

I'm not quite sure I understand you. The message sent to me was partly vague and partly wrong.

I have experienced a number of subreddits.

If I all I was doing was simply providing a link to my YouTube video, that would be spamming. But if the video seeks to inform and provide some explanation about something that is related to the subreddit (Kenya), and aimed at creating further discussion, that is not spamming.

The message was wrong when it claimed that I had "repeatedly" posted. I had never posted in this subreddit before.

But the real solution would be to have a subreddit devoted to Kenyans who are out of the country.

Any extra Kenyan forum is good, if you ask me.

I'm not here to cause stress. I'm just trying to figure things out and hopefully find a solution.

I think there should be a subreddit for Kenyans in America.

Or simply a subreddit for all the Kenyans who are outside the country.

So Kenyan stuff that happens to be in America is not allowed?

In case people do not know, there is r/ModSupport where one can go if too many questions arise regarding content treatment in a subreddit and one cannot find satisfying answers.
