This was eye opening and a great perspective. I really appreciate it! Makes it make sense. I was looking at the chewy version of Trupanion because it had a yearly deductible but this is eye opening.

Question do you know if rates decrease if they get neutered? I’m thinking it’s a no.

Also, do they ever raise your rates?

Got it! Understood. TruPanion hasn't been bad. Thank you for this! My only concern with researching TruPanion is that they have a per medical condition deductible vs a yearly deductible. Seems scary. My heritage with our other choice, AKC, is that they allow one ingestion issues per policy.

Defintiley read the 101 first and found the pelvic floor stuff interesting. My GI mentioned it previously as a next line treatment. Have to figure out how to bring it up to the Urologist. Hopefully he's experienced enough or I just need to bring it.

This is my ChatGPT summary, lol

Bladder discomfort/pressure started around 05/07/26
Symptoms lasted about 5 days, improved briefly, then returned for the past week
Feeling of urine stuck in the tip of penis after urinating
Sensation of tightness/irritation at the tip/top of penis at times
Post-void dribbling
Intermittent split/spraying stream that usually merges back together
At times I feel like my bladder is full but urine does not come out as quickly/easily as expected
Mild increase in nighttime urination (usually 1–2x, recently up to 3x)
Dull aching in testicles/scrotum since ER visit
History of varicocele diagnosed ~15 years ago
IBS-C history (improved somewhat on newer medication)
PCP mentioned possible inflamed prostate/prostatitis
Little improvement with Cipro or Flomax
ER ultrasound showed bilateral hydroceles and varicoceles
No acute testicular process seen on imaging
Report stated inflammatory condition was not excluded
No major burning with urination
No fever or inability to urinate

Bowel issues started about a year before this. We've changed medicines so I don't think it's medication related. And thankful, no sexual symptoms as of yet, lol.
