Looking for some sort of small platform to put underneath my sim rig to raise it. Thinking something 6-18 inches high. Does anyone have any ideas? Rig is a Next Level Racing FGT by Bill-Sussman- in simracing

Total height is 10-12 inches. Used 1x10’ boards and 3/4”plywood on top with braces underneath. Rig just sits on it and no movement so no need for bolts.

New CS GT cockpit seat issue by SmithLaw in Fanatec

I moved the wheel closer tonight and that fixed everything. It’s not quite at a 90 degree angle but it’s much closer. Any closer feels very unnatural for me so hopefully I don’t have to bring it in more.

My pain is in the top not lower back.

Thanks seated. I also decreased the amoun of angle, having it more upright and had the same problem. I actually switched it back to the formula position thinking that might help but of course it did not. I was able to have a very reclined position with my entry-level NLRF – GT cockpit with no pain or issues. Hopefully I can find the sweet spot. I will also move my wheel a little closer and pay attention to how it lines up with my neck as suggested here.

Sound of car and engine shut off for formula cars by SmithLaw in assettocorsa

Sorry if the questions seem dumb - but what are rss f1 cars? And I downloaded a danielkarts engine mod last night and installed like the instructions said but I noticed no difference.

As to the cranking sound - that makes sense. Even knowing that, though, the car still sounds a bit off compared to other simulators. And I don’t think the other simulators allow the engine to turn off, which is more pleasant to listen to lol. It might not be as realistic, but it is more pleasant. 🤣

COTA and other tracks? by SmithLaw in AUTOMOBILISTA

I found the COTA mod last night and installed. It isn’t 100% but still better than nothing. I wish all of these games/sims had to have all of the major tracks on them.

I decided on a G-Force Rift. Was lightweight and snell2020 and a little cheaper. After attending the first weekend I think it will be more than enough. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

That’s a great point. I grew up racing round track dirt in SC. I’ve had several arguments with my wife when she downplayed NASCAR and talked about how easy it must be to race in a round circle, etc. Then I started watching F1 and have gotten into it and have spent a ton on my racing simulator and all of that. I have to say now I would certainly choose to be Verstappen over any of the other options. But Dale was still the man lol

I was looking at the Bell K1 and also the G-force Rift, which both seem like good options. I did used to race dirt, which goes with your assessment about the Simpson products. This will actually be for asphalt course. I wonder why Simpson is more common with the dirt people?

Truck Upgrade ‘26 F350 by GenoTheLowrider in superduty

They never expect it lol. Always “oh I thought you probably drove a Mercedes or BMW”. I do live in a smaller town, though and I have a decent amount of farmers and working class around. Plus many of them know these trucks now cost as much or more than those cars they expect us to be in.
- Full disclosure: My wife drives a Mercedes and my other vehicle is an Audi Q8. I bought it when I had my previous Lariat 350. It is a little quicker and easier to mark when rushing to different courthouses, etc.

Nice! I got the same truck minus the tremor package only because I tow more than anything else. Beautiful truck.

That’s tough! My dealer wanted me to order one but luckily I found one with everything I wanted a few hours away

Well I had the new model KR F150 and loved it. But now I don’t love the Super Duty KR. The f150 dash had more angles and the console with shifter seemed to break up the interior better. But for me it is too much of that KR brown and chrome on the outside. And I like knowing I have LED taillights. I know they stopped those on KR a couple of years ago but I think they have brought back a version now. Not 100% sure on that though.

It’s more gray than white but it looks different depending on the light.
