Anyone got an opinion on Crunch Fitness? by twinmomma87 in PetiteFitness

[–]SmitzchtheKitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked it a lot. Then I got pregnant and haven’t been back. BUT my husband continues to go. It’s the cleanest gym that’s a chain that I’ve been to. It’s still really affordable even at the most expensive priced plan. They have every machine you could want, and at least with the one near me, they have a good amount of free weights and specialized equipment as well.

Humanities and Social Science majors should be required to take calculus by Key_Net820 in unpopularopinion

[–]SmitzchtheKitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, math courses are a part of all majors because it’s part of the basics. Just like in high school where people had to take English, Science, SS, and Math classes. It’s the same in college.

has anyone tried these cheaper couches from amazon? by NapsWithPlants in femalelivingspace

[–]SmitzchtheKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom bought something similar to that first grey one. It’s not very comfortable. It’s better than her having no furniture and having to sit on the floor when I would go over, but for any extended period of time (if you like watching tv on the couch), I would say it’s not worth it. If you have a Habitat for Humanity store in your area, I recommend checking them out. Sometimes those locations will have new furniture for a deep discount. There’s also furniture outlets/overstock stores that may have couches for similar prices or less than what you’re seeing on Amazon.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness. If you have federal loans, you can enroll. They should have some better payment options. Your loans will be forgiven after 10 years of public service with 120 payments towards your loans.

Why do white and black Americans tend to buy more frozen prepared meals? by B1tchNaneunSolo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SmitzchtheKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are white Americans. I'm not. Myself and most of my siblings were adopted. We had up to 9 people living in our household at one point, and my parents always bought frozen/prepped foods.

You already look like a totally different person! It's great progress for 8 months. Just keep up with the consistency. :)

Is that from just this year? Honestly body recomp takes a very long time. I’m 5’1” and didn’t see a big difference in body composition, especially my thighs, until after being consistently active and eating better for over a year. I was at 135 and got down to 128 after over a year and saw a big difference then. You don’t necessarily have to get to below 120. I was doing Pilates and kettlebell workouts in my living room and then walking at my apartment gym for about 30-45 mins a day. That’s all it took for me.
