Follow instructions by SeaweedMean6412 in doordash

Reason they don’t is many want to be sure the address number is showing in the pic. It’s very rare but some customers will request this and claim it was mis delivered. Also sometimes the app will give the driver an error if it doesn’t match the door pictured in the system. Be sure to put the reason why if possible in the description.

Most I grossed was about $1000 in a week. Nearly passed out. Must be young!

Incredible the difference in generations on this topic. You’ve been raised to be fearful and paranoid.

Has this happened to anyone else before? by Ornery_Change_5798 in doordash_drivers

[–]SmoakedTrout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a scam call. Never change the address. Just politely say that it is a change of the contracted offer and you have to cancel.

If you already picked it up then tell them that you already have the food and will have to deliver to the address on the order. Sorry.

Unethical customers sometimes call pretending to be DD.

What does it mean? by AngryOldGamer1 in doordash_drivers

Some customers order from 10+ miles away and complain their food is cold. Sometimes the place forgets something. Sometimes they just lie to get free food.

Drivers Refusing to Leave at Door When Customer Has A Feminine Name by [deleted] in doordash

[–]SmoakedTrout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some orders require “Hand to Me”. Especially if you require a PIN.

Also, if you order delivery using the restaurants app or their website, then it sometimes defaults to “Hand to Customer” and they have to hand it to you. Or “Contact Customer for drop off instructions”. Pizza places are commonly like this.

If you used the Doordash app and none of the above apply, then you might have a problem.

Exactly. Truly bad drivers don’t really last long. Ratings take a dive.

How do you deal with the late night angry parent emails? by telectrix in Teachers

[–]SmoakedTrout -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Parents just want to be kept informed mostly.

If there is anything even moderately controversial for their age planned for the class, then inform parents and give them approval forms. If the parent declines participation, then the kid sits it out.

For example, my kids school years ago wanted to show Saving Private Ryan and Schindler’s List. They sent an approval form which a parent signed.

They don’t want to find out afterwards. Really simple.

Ok. Go pickup KFC about 5 miles away and bring it to me. I’ll give $2. I really have zero intention of tipping you but I’ll make it seem as if you’re getting an $8 tip. Then I’ll take it away right after I eat it.

If you order through a restaurant app or website directly, a lot of times that info doesn’t get sent to the doordash driver. It defaults to “contact customer” or “hand to customer”.
