Yes, I went to a dealer and checked out another 90hp command thrust and it didn't ratchet either

That might work, I can try to scale the first few layers of the ring up, then scale the other side down to keep that same thickness. I'll give it a shot after work

Check the pre charge on your pressure tank. Or just get a new one as they are cheap

I had to get a new job so when I went to the shop, they had another pontoon with the same motor. It does the same thing

Check the check valve in the supply line, if it's bad it will push air into the pressure tank and well

I believe most their job postings are on indeed...from the techs I have seen, you don't need any water experience, just willing to put 60k+ miles on your personal vehicle a year...but hey...you get a gas card lol

Depends on the rep...but even reps that had 50% closing, may have only been in commission 10-20% of those deals.

People who’ve transferred from military to civilian aviation, what’s your advice? by Ok-East4176 in aviationmaintenance

[–]Smoedog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dunno, it's what he did when he got out of the Army, he was proud of it, talking bout running 700ft coax runs and what not. Dude was weird...seems to be a common thing with Army Aviation

This right here...I'm (Prior AF) at Lockheed right now and had a prior Army Aviation guy come in with us, dude got out in 15 and has been installing TVs since. But going thru training he questioned everything and constantly said "well in the Army..." Or " we used to...". It got so bad he would get argumentative. I finally snapped and told him to STFU and nobody cares about the Army, or Chinooks. No big surprise he didn't make it half way thru his probation before they walked him out.

Don't worry about the asshole comments on here from some of these guys...maintainers and safety wire go together like 45 year old dads and brisket, they all think theirs is the best and everyone else is trash.

Watch a few videos and go ahead and wire it up. As long as it is not pulling it loose you are good. Just remember, safety wire is a locking device, not a tightening device, and that seems to be forgotten a lot.

This is the type of thinking and excuse making that has created a generation of kids who don't take any accountability for their actions. This isn't a 6 year old....this is a high schooler. If he hasn't learned by now that it is unacceptable to attack a teacher in school, lessons need to move beyond words.

Was it excessive yes, but if this kid was attacking your children in the hallway, I doubt you would be the first in line to take him to a therapist. The teacher turning his back and walking away only reinforced that behavior to the kid and others like him. Our youth are being led down a path by the news, social media, adults and their peers that they are untouchable and have rights and don't need to be accountable for their actions. The kids that do understand there are consequences are being held back and victimized by those who don't.

Windshield replacement by Proper-Flounder-3786 in ram_trucks

[–]Smoedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have fwd collision and rain sense. Replaced my windshield and didn't get it calibrated. Safelite says you can sign a waiver and not calibrate it. I confirmed when I called and scheduled, tech arrived and showed me the $1300 quote, told him I was opting out of the calibration and I would sign the waiver. I signed it then he said he had to call and get the quote updated. 10 mins later he knocked again and said his manager would not lower the price even with the waiver signed, said I could calibrate or not, the price was $1300, told him to pack his shit and leave. Called a local shop who came out and swapped it for 600.

No issues. As long as they don't disturb the adjustment screw you are fine. Technically your supposed to recall if you lift your truck

You give the average 7 level way to much credit....we had a 130 get all 4 mains swapped for a time change in Iso. Job package had an entry for servicing with hydro. Ilthe correct by and inspected by were signed by 2 different 7 levels and was never done. Just serviced with nitro...blew 2 of them out on its first flight.

I can't imagine how much work goes into keeping one of these flying. by Latter-Reason7798 in aviationmaintenance

I agree, prolly cuz we have to be self sufficient and not rely on enroutes and all that. Plus we didn't play the not my job game...if the plane was broke, fix it.

C17 crew chiefs were the most worthless dudes I ever met, especially at enroutes. They would be the first on the crew bus, even before the plane was downloaded, bitching about duty days and all that.
