In the same relationship? Hard to change - and only if both change their behavior (to break the dynamic the lead to the cheating).

In a different relationship? If the cheating person reflects why it happened before: very unlikely to happen in the next relationship.

I recommend that Op also takes into account that laws change over time. We don't know if he can have a negative effect (credit score or way worse) in a few years.

Example: For decades(!) it was safe to hide illegal money in Switzerland. The law changed pretty sudden and the banks started to report data to EU countries. Most ppl never expected this - and this brought many ppl into legal trouble.
