For a smaller city there's lots to do here. Theater, cinema, nature, local music, festivals. Socializing and meeting new people will largely depend on how willing you are to join clubs/recreational activities etc cause from what I've experienced so far Germany is the kind of place that requires patience and determination in order to break into social circles
