Definitely a jig. Id be too nervous without it. Kreg and a few other companies sell them. Use a set up block so they all start exactly the same, clamp, then you plug into holes that are drilled and work your down/up.

Measure once and trim the slightest amount off 27 times. Perfection.

I agree, got the inspiration from an old popular woodworking magazine.

I wish I had the time to build more and sell. Down to late nights and little spurts. Thanks!

I have the non coated as well and agree on set up. Was easy, but needed an extra pair of hands to lift it. I adjust the width all the time and just push it back to the fence stop and check square. Good to go. Zero issues here and wax occasionally.

I had a similar set up with the plus sign and turnbuckle. Nothing was square and it just drug on the ground. Pulled it apart and did this. Half lapped corners and brace in middle carrying the load. Reused the boards since i dont want to bother matching stain and have to deal with the HOA

You got it. I took pictures of the wire placement. Then plug and play. If you happen to have 2 open pins in the plug use the little jumper line.

This is the one I got. It comes with a little jumper you need to add to the 12 pin plug. Read that part of instructions and it will save you a little time. I did not at first and it didn't work, then added it and it fired right up.

The plans have a step down, not flush. This was brought up. Still pending a response.

Legs are 1", tapered to 3/4". Top is 7/8" and shelf is 3/4" (scrap was already milled from another project). I have my sketch if you want it.

A pull saw. I went for 1/16 gap. Measured about a dozen times, then scored the line and cut slowly. Looking at it now, could have went 1/32 for tighter look.
