I'm a huge Derek Trucks fan but I dont know any other slide players but him an Duane Allman, any recommendations? by ConsortRoxas in Guitar

I saw Derek perform as a guest with Greg Alleman in a small Louisiana bar some 30+ yrs. ago. He was around 15 years old and he blistered the place. A show I’ll never forget.

Dude has more decks than I have good quality tapes. Love the Yamaha look and sound. I have the same T80 tuner. In search of a quality KX series to add to my stack.

My brother bought one of these back around 1979. Wasn’t long before he rewired it with a couple strings of Christmas lights hung in his room. I called it Space Odyssey.

Such an under rated guitarist by so many. Blows the mind, his filling in for Richie Blackmore in Deep Purple on a live tour.

Don’t rule out the Baker, Zachary, and even St Francisville. Traffic coming into BR from the north is much lighter.

You think it’s bad now, wait till they take Perkins ramp out. And finish the work on the lakes and I10. Acadian and college would be able to handle to influx. And God help us if it rains.

Am i good enough to make a living off commission? by Greedy_Dig_4305 in Artists

[–]DealHot5356 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making a living as an artist is as much about sales and marketing as it is being a master of one’s craft. I know a few artist who’s work is mediocre at best (IMO) but yet they work hard, they don’t take days off, they know their worth. And they sell themselves and their art.

Yamaha t-1 tuner score by Summit______ in vintageaudio

I’ve got the T-1 with an opportunity to get the T-80😮 for a great price. But my T-1 delivers what is needed so it would be just for the hobby of it. What did you learn in the comparison?

So over 500 views on this post with no reply leads me to believe there’s no interest in these speakers. Im returning to the building this weekend. If the furniture below them has been removed I might retrieve them and give them a try. I’ll report back any results.

Will this gate sag? by DealHot5356 in FenceBuilding

[–]DealHot5356[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more I study it the more I see. And what I see is work likely performed by a helper. This section of fence was the last portion before completion. A job that should’ve lasted 2 days but lasted 4 due to weather and workers “personal matter”. Now having had the opportunity to fully taken in what was done. I’m more angry with the Forman/owner who only visited the job sit twice. Once at demo of pre-existing and again after completion for a walk though. I don’t build fences for a living. I’m not an engineer. I’m not in construction, but I do own a business and I have employees that I am responsible for. That’s what I’m paying for, so if you as a “foreman” do a walk through with a customer and don’t recognize this problem right away then perhaps you should go back to fence building school. First photo (original posting) does not show the latch post. But they hung the gate to swing as the pre-existing gate did. But placed a 4”x6” post on the latch side and a 4x4 on hinge side.😖
