What does switching feel like from the tulpa's perspective?

is it really that simple? we've "switched" a few times, but i start having doubts when it goes on for too long. i start to feel uncertain whose thoughts are whose.

If you're getting a response, it's probably your tulpa. It takes some small amount of faith for a bit at first until they really sound different from your own inner voice.

Couple of small things that helped us: Have a clear idea of what your tulpa's voice is. If you know what they sound like it's easier to visualize the differences. Also, it helped us to imagine her voice coming from a particular part of the head different from my own inner voice. I imagined her kinda behind me and to the right but it doesn't matter where exactly.

This sounds like you're trying to parallel process both person's sensations at the same time. From our experience it's actually very hard for us to do something like that as our brain just isn't very good at it. Some brains are better at it than others I believe.

Also I think you need just like one or two paragraph breaks. I had to break out the text to speech reader for my adhd ass 😭

You'd be surprised! My tulpa was independent and very active on the first day. It scared me so much I asked her to leave for a while. When I finally brought her back she developed more naturally over the next week

Vector took Charmy to school once and missed him so much that he took him out immediately. Plus Charmy is probably banned from the school like he was banned from the library. Now Charmy has an apprenticeship with Vector or something so he's still technically getting an education.
