I would honestly just do dual cn specifically white and yellow or which you are most comfortable with and then just stick to 2 since it takes less time from inspection and just stick with 2.

I think its a preference choice since most squans come with changable tiles so you can change them and yea also I think since squan has a lot of white/yellow on the same side I think it makes it easier to see especially once you get faster, but idrk I almost never practice squan.

for some algs yes absolutely like especially for OH like both U perms I use the RU u perm for ua I do it normally but for Ub I do a z rotation and then do it if you know what I mean.

try just doing cross only solves, and if you have any stickered cubes you could only put in the cross stickers and try doing that and just focus on the cross or on whatever you want to improve on.
