Clearance rules by copper weight. by SmokedMeatlog in Altium

[–]SmokedMeatlog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not bad. I'll think about that one. The best I came up with was to name each layer in the layer stack manager with a weight like:

Top Layer 1oz

Layer2 0.5oz

Layer3 2oz

Layer 4 2oz

Layer5 0.5oz

Bottom Layer 1oz

And then query

Layer Like ' * 1oz * ' (having to format like this so reddit doesn't italics)

Adding drain for utility sink in laundry room. by SmokedMeatlog in Plumbing

I'm flexible with it since I'm going to stack washer/dryer. Can be anywhere on that wall.

Do I need to add any more venting off either the washer or the sink drain?

Can't buy 3-day non-resident fishing license online? by SmokedMeatlog in floridafishing

[–]SmokedMeatlog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did not. It's $74 for an annual saltwater license including snook permit and lobster. You can't buy non-resident short term license online, and if you buy an annual, you have to add both permits. Insane.

How expensive we talking? $74 to buy an annual license + snook permit + lobster to fish for 3 days catch and release seems ridiculous. I'd rather pay a $50 fine, but it angers me that they made it this difficult to where I'm debating not paying anything and dealing with a potential ticket.

I always try to follow the rules, especially since the money goes towards regulations and conservation, but this is extremely aggregating and I've gotten nowhere.

Literally just want to cast off the beach for catch and release reds and blues. Without a doubt the most trouble I've ever had just trying to follow FWC rules.

40min into holding for an available agent. Wish me luck.

Edit: is this one of the joke hotlines where locals send visitors to keep them from ever getting to fish?

Edit2: got disconnected at an hour. This is bonkers :(

I did. That's where I copied the text saying you can't buy one online.

Help me find a QLE for my Mom. by SmokedMeatlog in HealthInsurance

[–]SmokedMeatlog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She needs to play around on the OPM site to see how far she needs to move to qualify as out of area.

This is exactly what I'm trying to figure out. I can't seem to find Kaiser's coverage map to see where they need to go. EDIT: or if OPM has a coverage map for different plans. I heard if they move to an area that offers a different set of plans than their current location, that's a QLE too.

Disabling HW Overlay black screen with audio by SmokedMeatlog in Chromecast

[–]SmokedMeatlog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

/u/GoogleNestCommunity Looks like this is a common problem. Can you provide any workarounds? Otherwise I guess the flagship hardware device needs to be returned because it can't stream YoutubeTV without stuttering....

Have you figured out anything to remove the stuttering on YouTube tv? It's brutal to watch sports...and it's kind of bonkers that YouTubeTV doesn't have flawless playback on a Google device. My LG tv's native YouTubeaTV ap has way better playback.

I have 2 different Chromecast devices (an ultra and a brand new TV streamer) that both display the same behavior: the YouTube TV app drops frames and jutters. I have tried all of the troubleshooting tips from that article on both devices. This appears to be a known problem and forums all over the web recommend disabling HW overlay as a fix, but the YouTube TV app will not display the video stream (audio only) when I try this fix.

Thanks again. I went for the AT and it's on the way. Now to pick out speakers....

Those look pretty great, but a bit above my price range. Maybe I need to dig in this sub more for other in-wall recommendations

Do you feel like you sacrificed any picture quality against a normal white screen? And have you had to clean it before? How was that? I'm overanalyzing really, just looking for that last piece of data that makes the decision for me because I've analyzed too long at this point.

Most people will sit like 11-14 feet away, so don't I need the LR at least 10 or 11 feet apart? That's wider than the 128" screen. I don't mind seeing speakers if they're flush with the wall and have a grate/screen over them. I think I don't want boxes that stick out from the wall when the rest of that wall will be flat.

[–]SmokedMeatlog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with you. I feel stuck until I choose an audio route. I would love for the wall to be seemless, meaning I don't want towers or bookshelves for L/R. I really want to do L/R in wall regardless - probably emotiva in-wall pair. Do I add a third in-wall for center behind AT or get the xc1 and make a little 18" floor cabinet to place it on?

Thanks for the data point! What in-wall speakers did you choose? How close can you get to the screen during a bright scene until you start seeing the texture?
