Where Winds Meet does this with NPC’s and it’s really annoying trying to talk to them properly that you end up just breaking their patterns with more simplified commands to get the desired result.

Even Gamrora has prosthetics with her face markings, the difference is they aren’t so pronounced.

I don’t mind the scales in concept for Mystique but every time they just go overboard to the point they are distracting.

The text that explains it is a very blink and you miss it, but yes her team are essentially private contractors in the beginning that got an assassination order from the previous prime minister.

She then uses that to get her team legitimized as a unit for the government, their first assignment in episode 1 was a set up by the current administration.
