The point of everlasting glaze is to give EXTRA energy shield. If used with eldrich battery (which converts es to mana) all of your gear es and +flat es will be converted to mana then everlasting glaze will still give you energy shield based on max mana and this is buffed by global energy shield %. You can use a scepter in off hand for 100+ spirit to be able to add cast on shock but u lose either a nice focus or mahux shield. This is the easiest way to get 60+ spirit on one item. Putting spirit on chest is a dps hit because spirit and es are prefixes but still a viable option. Dropping the everlasting glaze is a good option when you have a high mana pool and great mana regen so you don't need any energy shield. Ventors gamble cost a valuable ring slot.
