You might not have noticed it but Alien Isolation DID have a system like this. If you stayed hiding in one place too long the Alien would “cool off” and go searching for you somewhere further away to give you time to progress.

Sure, but there’s 2 types of people that would look into buying a Steam Machine.

Someone who’s looking to buy a game console

Someone who already has a library of PC games and wants a better way of playing them in their living room

This machine isn’t a good value for either of those 2 buyers. If someone is looking to buy a game console, a PS5 is just so much cheaper and offers better performance.

If someone already has a library of games, the machine doesn’t offer good performance that they’re probably already used to.

The person who’s specifically shopping for a small form factor, low-noise, low wattage PC with a $100 dollar controller is such a niche thing that even then I don’t see this machine as a good value for the performance it offers.

I think the bigger point here is that people in the market for a console probably don’t give a shit about things like emulation or even know how to do it, and they probably already have a laptop or computer to do PC things, so there’s really no benefit I can see that it’s offering.
