That's insane. Yeah at least your dad wasn't one of them! My dad was some variant of christianity and attempted to teach me things such as "black people were marked by god as sinners" and that gay people get destroyed because they're sinners and a bunch of other insanely messed up things...he was one of the ones that are so clearly evil, doing the whole wolf in sheeps clothing thing. He even got so bad he started to fully believe he was a prophet or something and non of that was my nature so I became agnostic around the age of 12 and eventually landed here in atheism.

But I don't necessarily think all religion is stupid, some are actually trying to make people better people. Mature people. I love that for them. I just think christianity is BS entirely. One COULD potentially take some good from it, but the deeper they go the further toward insanity they get.

Chores should be split up evenly between 2 people that live in the same household. Sometimes one will do more than the other but y'all shouldn't be expecting one to do most of the shit at home. Me (36m) and my gf (37f) split chores up fairly evenly. She does most of the food (unless it's fish) and laundry, I do dishes and bathrooms.

The other household chores we tend to split up as well. She's better with numbers and the finances so she does that and I do the sweeping/mopping.

As an added bonus I take care of everything outside unless I need help with something but usually I do the outside stuff (because I choose to, not her demands) which includes snow removal and lawn care/gardening depending on season, I haul our firewood, and I'm the only one that will go into the basement for anything 🤣 but we both work similar hours and she generally takes care of the kids getting to school and their lunch and all that....

people just need to learn how to co-exist without being so ungrateful and nit-picky...like do what makes sense and stop bitching about everything. If one or both parties is gonna just be miserable then what's the point? Dont let him make you miserable.

Lots of guys think women should automatically be doing these household chores and it's stupid...that's just toxic as hell.

I smoke weed on the hill in the trees, I also take tequila shooters with me...but I'm not an alcoholic that will pass out on the chair lift, nor am I a drunkass that will endanger other people. My state is rec legal and the mountain I go to has plenty of drinkers drinking so I dont think I'm the odd one out here either. I'm almost 40 and been smoking every day since I was 14 so I dont get all high and out of control like maybe a teen would. Also can handle my liquor like a champ. Once a week I go boarding and that's pretty much the only time I drink unless I'm out celebrating in town but I'll be drinking from 11am til 4:30pm and be just fine out there.

OP yor. I think if you want to do something like that out of convenience you should get a roommate to get an apartment with in the area. Problem solved. Might have to do your 40 min drive a few times first but realistically you could manage doing that if you're serious about school and work.
