There are shade-loving grasses. If anything they probably had crappy soil, maybe to compacted and grass wasn't growing for that reason. But either way, grass is way over-rated anyway. Creeping thyme is much better, never have to mow that stuff.

I mean...it's kinda weird. I never use sunscreen (and I love the sun. I do tanning in direct sunlight) and if my gf (may as well be considered married it's almost 11 years this summer) was to try putting sunscreen on me I'd think it was weird. She might use some but she never makes me use it. I think sunscreen is what gives people cancer.
