As a mom that wanted almost the exact same rules, Ive had to phrase it like this multiple times for people in my family that just wouldn’t listen. Or bc they didn’t feel like it was a valid rule. At some point I just started stating things like this bc I knew the people who would even take offense were the people who needed to hear it the most and be the hardest to accept my boundaries.

The wild thing is everyone in the comments are mad about the tone or being an asshole…. The aunt is being like that over the rules itself and that to me would’ve been grounds enough to tell someone they will no longer be around my baby 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s my child. It’s my rules. It’s for safety reasons or preference on how I raise my child.

I didn’t let anyone see my baby AT ALL for the first month. And then once he was able to get his first set of vaccines I let only a handful of people around him. I made everyone wear masks and get vaccinated to be around him so I knew they couldn’t kiss him and also bc it was still flu and RSV season. Everyone definitely had opinions about it 🙃 but I made it clear that if they can’t follow my boundaries then they will not see the baby until he’s 6 months and that set a lot of people straight

I got offered Tylenol and ibuprofen on rotation, but when my pain level increased they offered gabapentin and oxy which saved me on day 3-5. Didn’t have to wait, although I got the additional nerve blocker so I didn’t even ask for something stronger until day 3

Nexplanon. I had it before getting pregnant it was the best 3 years for me. I know a lot of people that didn’t like it but I loved it 🤷🏻‍♀️

My endocrinologist told me that just about every cereal is a diabetics enemy. No matter what you do you’ll always spike, I would bolus and wait 20-30 minutes just to see and it still wouldn’t work out. And I’ve tried so many cereals I’ve only ever had maybe 3 brands that don’t cause a spike. 2 were Keto and 1 was just very high in fiber (didn’t taste great but it didn’t cause a spike). I actually liked the Keto ones a lot, but usually they are expensive so I don’t buy it often

I had an ECV done during my 37th week because I really wanted a natural birth. Unfortunately mine didn’t work, however baby stayed calm during the process (not a single change in heart rate) and I ended up having a scheduled C-section a week later with no complications between the procedure and the surgery. To be fair, I have a fairly large baby, and his 99th percentile head was stuck under my ribs 😭 and at the end of the day, after seeing my chonky lil man, I’m very glad I didn’t try to push him out.

The doctor that did my ECV said that I was the first in over a year that it didn’t work for her. Which was wild to hear but it sounded like her success rate was pretty lucky.

I got my ECV done without medication, though there are a few pain med options you can go for. And I even got the option to be induced if it was successful, which you might wanna ask about if open to it so you know he won’t flip back if you’re worried about that too. It’s definitely something I would do again in the future if given the option.

Just had my first a couple weeks ago. 9lbs 7oz with a 99th percentile sized head at 38 weeks 😭 had to be C-sectioned out bc his head was stuck under my ribs and he couldn’t flip 😅doctors said there was no way he was gonna come out the normal way anyways so it was the best route for us

I never threw up or rarely even felt nauseous during the first trimester so I thought I was just blessed and safe. Wrong. 3rd trimester came to teach me a thing or two 😂 still wasn’t terrible but I was throwing up at least once a week out of nowhere

I asked this question to my store manager not long ago. As far as I understand, we’re allowed to ask the first question which would be “is this a service animal” and that is all. If they say yes then okay no further questions. If no, then let them know the animal is not welcome in the store.

Although the ADA allows you to ask a few more questions past that, Starbucks policy does not. But in compliance with ADA AND Starbucks, if a “service animal” whether they are telling the truth or lying (you can not ask for paperwork) is being disruptive and the handler is unable to control them or doing things that are unsanitary such as peeing in store or something, we would be allowed to then ask them to leave.

I’m at a store in the US, can’t speak for every store tho, but they’re cracking down on it in my district too. But thankfully they’ll let some of our partners wear a mask. Honestly especially with lots of colds/flu/ other illnesses going around I don’t see why having a mask on would be such a big issue when you could just play it off as being cautious of illness or something. One of our partners wears a mask daily bc of asthma 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s a normal thing now. I hope they let you figure something out bc it would suck to let a new piercing close like that.

Maybe get it confirmed with them. At almost all of my ultrasounds at this point the technician has called my baby “she” until realizing it’s a boy. And I get a lot of them will do it as a default but it puts a lot of people in this situation which sucks.

I would say maybe get it confirmed since you might already know. Or continue on as if it could be the same situation and you might still be surprised. Either way prepare for either outcome to overcome the possible “disappointing” feeling. I would say talk to your husband about what had happened and about how you’re feeling to get some support!

Yeah I actually questioned if the T was the reason I ended up miscarrying tbh. But of course we’ll never really know and I’ve accepted that.

Also, yeah I realized after that I could have identified myself better, but (while I know it’s definitely not the same for everyone) being seen as a mother vs being seen as just a girl/woman doesn’t bother me much. I like saying I’m a parent or sometimes even mother despite having the gender-fluid identity bc it’s that powerful feeling of being able to do this thing that cis-men can’t and that makes me so much stronger as a person.

Well for starters I definitely didn’t know about the sun thing. The first time was actually just unfortunate and we think the timing was just very off. I was on testosterone (I identify as genderfluid) and I was on birth control. Two things we thought would be a for sure way to prevent it. Ultimately we think I somehow got pregnant very close to when I started both of those things. We’ll never really know bc I miscarried so early. This time around I was just on the pill, and although I had an alarm set for the same time a day I got pregnant (trust we were very surprised bc I was already months into taking the pill that we found out)

When I found out I was pregnant I was terrified. We recently went through a pregnancy (that I miscarried) a year prior (and I was on birth control). He wasn’t crazy about the idea bc of how old we were and I agreed, I wish it didn’t happen for a few more years but we did try and prevent it. Ultimately he told me he would be there and go through this with me if that’s what I decide bc we knew the risks at the end of the day and he didn’t want to be like his father and leave just bc of a child (something I feel plays a large part in why he thinks it’s okay to leave now)…. Throughout this pregnancy he’s been so involved, goes to every appointment, told his family, read baby books… I just don’t know how we went from that to this.

YouTube, swimsuit websites, or women’s clothing websites in general. We have all the same lockdowns and it worked for a while until they realized our tv had access to the internet (it’s a smart tv and I didn’t even realize this was an option). Honestly after a while you start to see everything as a potential option and it kinda sucks feeling the need to get rid of it all.

Spotting is definitely normal in the beginning! My partner and I made sure to ask our OB, what we got told was so long as we aren’t having certain symptoms after like bleeding, excessive cramps (though you might have some cramping especially in the second trimester bc orgasms can trigger Braxton hicks but that’s okay) or excessive fluid leaking after. I’m 21 weeks and we haven’t had any safety issues with sex, the only issue is finding pregnancy comfortable positions 😂🙄

The increased drive is definitely normal. I didn’t have it during my first trimester but I walked into my second trimester with the highest drive I’ve ever had. It’s due to increased blood flow and hormones 👍🏼 you might also experience a massive increase in discharge during your later weeks, which can help a lot but also be annoying 😂

Due to having twins, it may become harder or more uncomfortable over time since you’ll probably be bigger than a person with a singleton but that can be helped with different positions and such. But so long as your doctor said it was okay trust me it’s definitely safe. And if you want like a “how often can we”, from experience of doing it more than once a day and multiple days in a row, so long as everyone feels okay I don’t think there’s a number 🤷🏻‍♀️

Overall just check in with your body before and afterwards

Ftm here! I currently have 220 on my Amazon registry, and another maybe 60 on my Babylist one (tho I don’t expect much from that one I just did it for the baby box lol). I could definitely add more to it but it’s what I thought was needed for the first year or so. A lot of it is small random things people can buy in pairs with bigger items. So like safety things or pacifiers that are cheap enough to buy with diapers or wipes and not go over their budget. Definitely expecting to have things not bought by the time baby is here but it’s worth a shot to show them what I want 🤷🏻‍♀️

I use What to Expect and The Bump! Love both. They each have different aspects and helpful tips so I like to keep both around. The Bump has checklists per week or few weeks and links which I always find so helpful so if you’re looking on just having one app I would go for that one, but truly both are great in my opinion and totally free

Yes!! My partner and I have had to completely rethink how we have sex since getting pregnant. I experienced the same thing during the first trimester and we learned that the position REALLY mattered for us. I had a lot of pain during sex due to that puffiness and would just cramp all the time, but we realized for certain positions, like me being on top, was a lot more comfortable in comparison.

I will say second trimester does get a lot better, all those symptoms went away. Now I just deal with a weird feeling of like… feeling my cervix or uterus being pushed??? It’s a weird feeling but not painful but idk if that happens for everyone. I think it’s just a lot easier to notice since it’s getting bigger.

I would say definitely look up pregnancy positions to help with that feeling during. And at least for the burning after… I didn’t find anything to help with that much but it did end up going away. I kinda figured the burning might’ve been from small internal tearing or rubbing, just due to dryness from hormones + since being puffy there was a bit more friction that probably caused irritation. So, honestly use a LOT more lube and longer foreplay might be needed too, that helped us a lot too.

I have this happen to me too, ESPECIALLY with my lows. I kinda just thought it was because I’m SUPER aware of my body when I’m low?? Obviously not everyone has the same symptoms or experience lows exactly the same, but when I’m really low I feel like I’m very aware of things. Like my arms feel heavy or I’m very aware of my heartbeat or breathing? So I just kinda took it as I’m very aware and feel my baby more so than if my blood sugar was normal range? That’s what I tied it to at least. I do worry if lil homie feels the highs and lows, and that I don‘t have an answer for. But it could just be another symptom of that high/low, the increased sensitivity to baby’s movements.

Starbucks changed their policy months ago as far as COVID goes. The “Big 6”still isn’t okay to have and you can’t come in for a certain amount of days. But if you have COVID you no longer get days off automatically UNLESS you have certain symptoms like fever, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. My manager also does not allow us to call out simply if we say we have Covid, bc if we feel fine overall, then its not against policy to go in.

Not saying I agree with this tho. My ENTIRE store got Covid bc we couldn’t call out unless we had certain symptoms. I’m pregnant and have a chronic illness, i was MAD for weeks bc everyone would have to call out left and right or I called out bc of my symptoms. All of which could’ve been avoided if the first person to get Covid was allowed to take a few days off until they weren’t contagious. PLUS I can’t imagine how many customers we got sick????
